Come Fly With Me

Hello Friends!
I am the hostess for our challenge at "The Sisterhood of Crafters"
and the theme I chose is "Come Fly With Me"!

When I chose this as our theme my idea was a hot air balloon
or something to that nature, but then remembered I had this
"hadn't been used" and "much neglected"
 Stampin' Up elegant bird die!!

I cut my bird from a scrap of SU paper,
and had a great time embellishing it with a feather,
My Favorite Things flourish, tiny yellow crochet doily,
yellow Rose, and a few tiny leaves.

The background is from an Impression Obsession gingham stamp,
stamped with SU Groovy Guava ink.
I stitched this onto SU So Saffron card stock a couple of times.

The sentiment, I love!
It's from B-Line Designs.

I finished with a bow and a few large sequins.
I really love how this card turned out!

Pop on over to "The Sisterhood" and see what my
teammates have to inspire YOU to join in!!

Of all the things that are gorgeous and awesome about this card, I was drawn immediately to that Guava swirly flourish die cut! Go figure. But then I checked out the gingham stamped background and the utterly fabulous bird -- wow! So much to love! Bet you wondered why you waited so long to use that bird die now, right? Happens to me all the time!

I love that sediment, too, Diane, and I love all the elements you have added to make it complete! I especially love your bird cut from the SU watercolor paper, which I have and didn't think to use in this way! Thank you for the inspiration and thank you so much for playing in my NBUS Challenge #4!! Hugs, Darnell
