Double D Challenge Blogaversary

This is an exciting post as Double D has a one year
anniversary to celebrate with you.
I don't think when Dar and I created this challenge we dreamed
it would ever be as successful as it has become!
We have wonderful designers working with us
and we couldn't be more proud of them...they are FABULOUS!!

Wait until you see what the Design Teams have in store for you
WOW!!!
So make sure to pop on over to the Double D challenge blog,
take a peek, leave some love
and read the post very carefully as it is a 'special' one
with some amazing prizes!

The theme is
Anniversary~Blogaversary~Birthday
and using anything from the mood board below to inspire you!

For my creation, I made my card using the chalk board as
my starting point for my inspiration.

I went through every stamp set I had to find
just the perfect sentiment and had almost given up
until I came across this celebrate one.

I made my roses from white card stock and inked them up,
those little brats gave me so much trouble and not sure why,
either it was the glue I was using or just maybe the  fact that it has
been a LONG while since I made my own flowers..lol!
But in the long run they seemed to have 'somewhat' turned out okay.

My leaf flourish was cut from snippets of scrap paper
that has a shiny finish to it.

This was a fun inspiration mood board and so many different things
in it to choose from that I could of made several more!!

LOVE the chalkboard look and those gorgeous handmade roses! It was worth messing with the ink, glue and paper for such a beautiful result. Congrats on your 1 year blogaversary and thanks for the challenge. Now that the holidays are over I'll have more time to craft so am looking forward to joining in.

Diane, what a gorgeous card that clearly is inspired by that beautiful mood board! I recognize that stamp, and it is perfect for the occasion! Your flowers are drop dead stunning and so realistic in my humble opinion! I was thinking to myself when I saw the mood board, flowers were going to have to be included, and dear me, it's been a while since I made any. I think I'll have to go back and read a tutorial! Stunning! Thank you for all your inspiration! Hugs!

I looked at that chalk board for a long time and tried to come up with someway to use it in my design. I will know what to do next time. I am glad you did not give up on the sentiment because it is perfect for the chalk board and the occasion. Your flowers are gorgeous. You and Darlene are the best team leaders. You provide so much inspiration and encouragement. Thanks for having me as a member of this team.

Oh, gosh, that's one of the SU! sets I let go when I cleared out my stamp room. It's perfect for your chalk board and kinda makes me wish I'd kept it now, but I made many tough decisions at the time. I just love how you arranged the flowers and leaves and, BTW, your flowers turned out absolutely gorgeous! Your paper is a pretty nice match for the "1" in the inspiration photo, too. This has been the best, most fun team in all respects and I'm so glad I'm part of it. The mood boards are awesome every month. In fact, I'm stamping ahead so I can participate in every one of them. Happy Blogaversary, Diane!
