Golden Birthday

There is a new challenge theme today at
The Sisterhood of Crafters
and our theme was chosen by our 'sistah' Vicki
and it is The Golden Days of Fall
use gold on your project.

I am happy to say I am actually using a few new things
recently purchased.

The designer paper is Prima Pumpkin and Spice
and the gold die cut is from the Fall Warehouse sale
at Spellbinders.
It is a 2 die set called Leafy Border.
I don't know if you have ever bought from these sales
but when they have them, they are amazing.
I even bought a little die cut machine the Prism for $10.
So cute and it sets on my desk and the die I used fits thru it!

I also used a few older things, the 'candis' and a die and sentiment
from Lawn Fawn that I embossed with Sparkle N Sprinkles embossing
powder Gold Detail.

Regal Reindeer

This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today.

Hi Tutti Fans!

Today I have a very regal new die to share with you
and it is called Reindeer Head.
This pretty deer head has snowflakes dangling from his antlers
all full of sparkle-y goodness!

The deer was cut from a metallic paper and a darker paper
to create a 'shadow' underneath.
I added diamond Stickles to all the snowflakes to make him shine,
and also added a few gold sequins for even more sparkle.

Here is a closer look at the pretty snowflakes.

I think this is such a pretty die and it cuts like a dream!

October Challenge

Today at Double D Challenges we have a fun new challenge
and an even more fun Mood Board!

The challenge is October and
'what does it mean to you'?

Well first of all, my birthday is in October so a special month to me!
In Michigan October is the start of our what I like to call
'cozy' weather.
Flannels~sweatshirts~apples~pumpkins~falling leaves (lots of them)
but of course it always brings in Halloween at the end.

So my card is focusing on HALLOWEEN!

Have you ever seen a die/stamp that you 'just had to have'
but in searching it is OOS everywhere?
Well that was the case for me, but then I found it on Amazon
and I ordered it on a Sunday and it was delivered the next morning,
Labor Day to be exact .
Problem was I wasn't home to get it for at least another week
so I had my son go to the house and sure enough there is was,
laying at the back door.

So I have used the cutest Spellbinders Sunday Drive dies.
Then they came out with Fall/Halloween to change it up
AND
which I also had to have and you will see on my blog...soon!

I love these cute cute dies.  The main set comes with balloons for a birthday drive.
These dies have the tiniest pieces, but working with Cottage Cutz dies
a lot, I figured they wouldn't be too intimidating
but look at those tiny tail lights...egads!!

Make sure to visit the Double D challenge blog
as the team has amazing cards to inspire you
and of course an awesome prize is up for grabs!!

On another note, did you know there is a NEW
challenge just for Halloween ALL year long?
Check it out HERE at Two Old Bats Halloween challenge!

Pretty Packages

This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today.

Hi Tutti fans!!
Today I have some pretty 'wrapped packages',
well not really, but I do have two cards using two of the four
new FANCY BOWS dies.

These bows are a nice bigger size to really make a statement
when using them on a card.
Both cards were created about the same except by
changing the sentiments and papers,
I used them for two different occasions.

The first card is to celebrate any occasion.

The second card was created for Christmas.

Both cards were made by using the Tutti Designs Nesting Stitched Scalloped Rectangles
and the Nesting Stitched Squares for the 'box'.

Sweater Weather

Joined in a fun challenge today at
52 Christmas Card Throwdown.
The theme is Winter Sweaters.

As I mentioned before, a friend of mine gifted me with 2 big boxes
of stamps and mostly dies.
This Elizabeth Crafts Design Sweater set was one of them included!

I used papers from Lawn Fawn Knit Picky paper pack,
embossed the snowflake with red EB powder
(the snowflake die is part of the sweater set),
Stamped the sentiment and added a few little mittens from my stash
and my card was complete!

Think Pink

 Happy Sunday!
Wanted to jump in the fun at Poppystamps challenge
so created this 'PINK' card which is the challenge
to use PINK,

This is what I chose to use is my super neat
Poppystamps die Boddington Cabin.
This die so appealed to me when I bought it as
I live in a log home myself.
I also appreciate the Think Pink for the month
of October as I lost my Mom to breast cancer in Oct. of 2018!

I die cut an oval out of the center, then embossed it with
a snowfall embossing folder..
Stickles was added for a bit of sparkle!

Spooky

Today is a start of a new challenge theme at
Dies R Us
and the theme is BOO/HALLOWEEN!

I created a slimline card and did a lot of inking to try and make it as 'spooky' as I could using various TH Distress inks.  It is so much brighter IRL then the picture shows but much as I tried I just couldn't capture the true brightness!

I used Cheapo Flying Witch and a Tutti Designs Spooky House dies to created my scene.  I also added a few pumpkins from Impression Obsession Pumpkin Patch dies that I just happened to already have die cut, after all every haunted house needs pumpkins right?
I used a tiny cat punch for the kitty, which is a bit hard to see as he blends
in with the house.

So Sweet

 Happy Wednesday!
I hope today finds you happy and creative!

It's the start of new themed challenge at
The Sisterhood of Crafters
and it has been chosen by our 'sistah' Annie.

The theme is LOTS of Layers.

My card started out with a stamped image in the center of my
Spellbinders circle and was great until I added a gloss to the flowers
and it smeared them...ugh!

Not to be discouraged, I pulled it off my paper
die cut a new one and not noticing the new one was cut from a scrap
of white 'shimmer' paper...double ugh!

So knowing that it would smear if I stamped it in anything but Staz On
(which mine has dried up)
it would also smear
I decided to get into my drawer of ephemera

which is how this card came about!

We would love to have YOU join our challenge at
The Sisterhood
so head on over and see all the beautiful 'layers' my 'sistahs'

On another note I want to mention there is a NEW
challenge you need to check out
and it is Two Old Bats Halloween challenge

NEW~NEW Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge

Oh boy do I have something special to share with you today!
Dar from Dar's Crafty Creations and myself
have created a NEW challenge
for all you Halloween lovers called

I won't go into all the details of how this came about here,
but you can go to the challenge blog and read all about it
AND see all the designs from our fabulous new design team!

This challenge is what we are calling a 'jumpstart'.
Just being on for a few weeks before the 'real' challenge starts,
a sort of  'advertisement' you might say.
The 'real' challenge starts on Nov 2nd and ends on Nov 28th
with the same time frame each and every month!
Yes, it is a monthly challenge from then on out!
We also will have a Top 3 and a winner
and even some prizes once in awhile!

We will also have an inspiration/mood board
just to get your creativeness going ,but the challenge is always
Anything Goes!

For my card I made a quick one using an old stamp from the
dollar bin at Michael's many years ago.

This little mummy stamp had a flaw in him, little did I know.
I had to stamp him at least six times with 4 paper shims
under him just to get his face to stamp.
Good thing I had my TH platform.
I am thinking next time I will solve that problem by adding google eyes.

A mixture of TH Distress and Oxide inks were used on my spooky tree stencil.

Now head on over to the
Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge
and check us out and join in too!

Spooky Shoe

This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today.

Hi Tutti Fans!

It's only a couple of weeks away to Halloween
and there is still time to get your order in for fun
and quick to make cards using the fabulous Halloween selection
Tutti has to offer!

The card I am showing today uses one of the newly released

Halloween dies this year and it is the
Spooky Shoe die.

The shoe was die cut from black card stock
then I coated it with Versamark and covered it
with Midnight Madness embossing powder
that has glitter in it and then heat set it!
Makes a very glittery shoe!

The card is a five inch square card that I added and layered
white, then orange card stock to and layered a Halloween paper
on, die cutting it first from Tutti Designs Stitched Postage die!

A punched bat was added to finish!

Lots of Pumpkins

After being gone most of the summer
and not being able to create much
I decided I need a boost to get me creating again
so decided to make a slimline card for the Mod Squad challenge.
They want you to have pumpkins as the focal point of your card.

I have seven pumpkins on my card so I hope that qualifies!
I used some very old and I mean OLD thing to create this card!

You remember when Stampin' Up had the stamp rollers?

Well, several years ago I decided to take all mine (and there were a lot)
off the rollers.  I bought some of the easy mount stamp board
and mounted each and every one of those roller stamps to it.
Even better with the TH stamp platform or the Misti
it makes it super easy to stamp them more then once if need be.

The ghost designer paper underneath is from SU and also an oldie
as I haven't purchased 12 x 12 paper in years.
The bat and the witch are old Martha Stewart punches.
The ink I used however was quite a challenge.
It is from Stampabilities and is a pigment ink
that just won't dry, even after heat setting it!

Now for some excitement!
There is a NEW, I believe one of a kind challenge
starting tomorrow, a monthly challenge and it is HALLOWEEN
ALL year long!

Check it out on the Two Old Bats Halloween challenge!

Wreath Challenge

Today at Double D we have a new challenge theme and
a fun new mood board to inspire you!

Our theme is WREATHS, we want to see a wreath on your creation.

My biggest decision was if I should use a stamp or a die LOL.
I went with a stamp as I had a NBUS that I had purchased from Spellbinders
earlier in the year.
These stamps are what they call 3D shading, so easy to add color to
and look pretty great when you are done!

I didn't do much more then color the image in
then die cut it out and placed in on a pretty paper and add the sentiment.

I had intended to add a die cut bow but for the life of me couldn't find what
I was looking for so went with a tiny gingham one.

So pop on over to Double D and see all the gorgeous wreaths there,
each one so unique and beautiful!!

Spooky Fun

This is  my post on the Tutti Designs blog today.

Hello Tutti Fans!

On this great Tuesday I have a fun and 'spooky' card
using the newly released Spooky Fun die!

The die was cut from both white and black card stock
then I cut the ghosts off (the white ones) then adhered them to
the black die cut.

Because of the papers I used I didn't want them stark white
so I colored them slightly with a gray Copic
and added blush to their cheeks, yep REAL blush!

To finish, I added Ripened Pumpkin Nuvo Dots!

Spooky Fun

Sunflower Hello

October 1st, crazy isn't it?
It seems that the months pass by so quickly and won't be long and we will be into another year!

October 1st also brings us to a new challenge at Dies R Us and it's the best theme ever
ANYTHING GOES!

I thought with this theme it would be the perfect time to bring out my Sue Wilson Sunflower Bouquet dies

I started by die cutting a Tutti Designs Stitched tag from a black checked paper
(yes I know it looks brown but it is black)
then added my Sunflower to that.
I die cut the smaller tag I stamped the sentiment on
using the same set as the larger tag!

This is a really nice sunflower die as it gives you five different sizes of flowers.
