For You

 Happy Saturday Morning to you!
I created a card yesterday just for fun and to enter into a couple of challenges
which is very rare for me!!

I played in one of my favorite challenges awhile back at
Pixie's Playground and won the most fabulous prize
of two dies and a stamp set and am using one of those awesome dies today!

It is a Creative Expressions-For You Edger die.

I added a 'snippet' of paper from my pink bag of scraps
then used an OLD Martha Stewart punch and edged that piece as well

I added a pink panel of card stock inside to show the edger For You die cut well
and added a couple of Cheapo Dies die cut  butterflies from the same
pink card stock and each was topped with Pink Fresh Ballet Slipper jewels.
I can see this die being used over and over again and think
it would make some beautiful Mother's Day cards!

I created this card specifically for these challenges:

Brrr

I am the hostess for our new challenge theme at
The Sisterhood of Crafters and I have chosen the theme of
CAS Winter.  We want to see all your clean and simple winter designs!

I did a CAS card using a very old $1 Recollections stamp I had gotten from Michaels
several years ago,  the Brrr sentiment is from a shop we used to have
just over the stateline in Indiana called Sugarberry Lane, it was the cutest shop
and they sold a small amount of stamps and papermaking supplies
and fun gift items, it's gone now and I sure do miss it!

You can't see it but I used a silver sparkle gel pen here and there and a crystal white
Nuvo on the hat pompom.

Take a peek at our The Sisterhood Design Team creations,
they have some really neat inspiration!

Blue and White

A new challenge theme is up and running at Double D and
the theme is  Blue and White Winter!

We have a mood board to inspire you. all in blues and whites

I created a very easy card just by simply using what was already in my stash!
The polar bears are designer paper from Martha Stewart
that I have had quite some time.  I thought they were so cute
and that they would make a great card!

The snowflakes along the top are a piece I had leftover from
a snowflake die cut.
The sentiment is Essentials by Ellen Artic Pals.

Lots of pretty winter blues over at the Double D blog, go check it out
and join in with us, there is always a fun prize to be had!

Peace On Earth Anything Goes Christmas Challenge

Today is the start of a new challenge at
Peace On Earth
and as always it's an Anything Goes challenge.

Darlene had put together this fun mood board to inspire you
but you can create anything as long as it's Christmas themed!

Anything Christmas

I usually try to let the mood boards inspire me as I did this one,
I used the upper left corner with the plaid boots.

I had a The Greetery  shiplap die  background left from a bunch I put together
this Spring and it was the perfect color!

The boot is a die I got from Paper Smooches while they were still in business,
it was cut from a plaid paper,
The greens are part of a Sizzix die and a Cheery Lynn die,
the frame is IO Quilted Frame.
The Poinsettia I already had made.

Winter Wishes

We are already half way through January and that brings us to a new
challenge at Dies R Us!  Though we do have some themes planned
for the challenges this year, this one remains an Anything Goes!

Even though it is anything goes I try to stay within the theme of the month.
Being January in Michigan it remains cold and normally snowy
so I went with a winter card using Impression Obsession Birch trees (all links ae given below)
which also include the cute little cardinals!

The sentiment and die are Lawn Fawn Wavy Banners and Wavy Winter sayings.

We would love to have you join us at the Dies R Us challenge!!
Take a peek at all the inspiration from the Design Team while there!

For your convenience, all the important Dies R Us links are provided below.

Dies R Us now has a sister store with warehouses in the USA and Canada called Didi Crafts.

It will ship to both the US and Canada.  Didi Crafts will carry some of the same products as DRU, but most will be different.  Now our Canadian friends don't have to worry about huge taxes or shipping fees. How great is that!?!

BWA-HA-HA-HA

We are half way through our challenge at Two Old Bats Halloween
and you still have plenty of time to play.

We have a fun inspiration board for you to get inspired from like I did!

I did a bit of inking on this card with Distress Oxides wilted violet and black soot.
The stamp I used is one of those $1 acrylic stamps from long ago.
The bat and black cat were laying on my work desk and the sentiment is from
Martha Stewart.

Pop on over to the Two Old Bats Halloween challenge site and get inspired
by the fabulous design team and join us, we would love to have you!

Happy Birthday In Blues

Our new challenge theme starts today at
The Sisterhood of Crafters
and our hostess is 'sistah' Darlene and she has chosen
the theme of the color BLUE.
Pretty easy right, who doesn't love blue?

I used a stencil for my card from Tim Holtz and blue inks from
Altenew, Stampin Up and Momento Dew Drop inks making
a 'blue' monochromatic card.

The sentiment is from The Greetery's Sentiment Suite Birthday.
If you need a fabulous birthday stamp set, I can recommend this one
as it is full of various birthday greetings in great fonts!

I couldn't leave it alone and had to add a few blue sequins.
All these stencils they are coming out with make some beautiful cards
that's for sure, let alone being so addictive.  I just wish they would make
them more an A2 or A6 card size and not the 6 x 6 that you often see,
just my opinion !

Take a peek at all the pretty cards my 'sistahs' have created over at
The Sisterhood, and join in with the fun!

Party Balloons

It's our first challenge at Double D for 2022
and it's also our SIXTH year for our challenge
so we are celebrating with a theme of PARTY BALLLOONS!

I created this fun and colorful mood board below to inspire!

I purchased The Greetery Balloon Bouquet stamp and Big Balloon die set
with this mood board in mind.  I have had it for quite a while
and it was s hard to not use it before this challenge, but I held strong LOL!

I also used a fun die from The Greetery Twisted Crepe, this die will come in
very handy for birthday and celebration cards and I love the uniqueness
well, what isn't to love about ALL The Greetery products, they ROCK!!

The inks I used were all Altenew ink cube sets Sweet Dreams for the blues
and Green Fields for the greens.
I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Party Mix Jewels for sparkle!

Take a peek at Double D to see all the awesome balloon cards
the Design Team has created, lots of inspiration there!

Winter Blues

Happy New Year!

Today I have a card I created for the NEW challenge at
Colorful Options!

This is a new color challenge that I am part of the Design Team for
and have to say I am pretty excited as this is my first time
on a 'color' design team!

You can read about all the fun details and rules HERE

As you can see each month will be a pretty colorful mood board
for you to follow OR you have the option of using rainbow colors!
This month we are all about JANUARY BLUES!

I was inspired by the Blue Jay and all the snow...brrr!
I die cut a frame using two Poppystamps nesting square dies.
The branch was die cut with a Cottage Cutz die and the blue jay
from a Cheery Lyn Designs die.
I embossed the sentiment from SEI with white embossing powder!

Make sure to pop on over to the new Colorful Options Challenge
meet the design team and see all their fabulous creations!

Happy New Year my spooky friends!
Our Halloween fun continues at
Two Old Bats year round Halloween challenge
and we have a fun and spooky mood board
just to get you inspired!

You can create anything Halloween and I let the spooky purple colors
of the upper right comer inspire me!

I had an old never before used Inka-dinka-do stamp set that I used a pumpkin
from and stamped it in versa-mark and used an embossing/glitter powder
from my design team days at Sparkle N Sprinkle,
it is Fabulous Grape!

The sentiment is from Simon Says!

As usual there is a fun mood board and y9u can use it for inspiration
like I did or not, it's your choice!

Anything Christmas

I let the top right corner inspire me as I knew I had a cute
die set from Cottage Cutz that I hadn't used yet 'Nordic Gnomes'!
There are two slightly different gnomes in the set but I chose to just use one.!

Across The Miles

Happy New Year!!!
The new year and the first day of January brings us to a new challenge at
Dies R Us challenge blog and our theme is ANYTHING GOES!

Being it's January and it's cold outside (BRRR), I went with a snowflake
theme for my card.  I absolutely love this die.  It's easy to use
and makes quite a beautiful card by just adding  a few easy details.

I started with a 5"x4 3/4" white panel that I cut the Poppystamps Snowflake Collage snowflake from.
I placed a piece of double sided adhesive behind that, then
sprinkled with Fairy Dust Lapis glitter. (all links are given below)
Once attached to my card base I sprayed the glitter with  hairspray
to insure the glitter stays put!
The sentiment is from Altenew and I stamped it with
Distress Oxide Blueprint Sketch ink.

Thank you for visiting with me today!!

We would love to have you join us at the Dies R Us challenge!!

Take a peek at all the inspiration from the Design Team while there!

January Anything Goes Winter Four Seasons Challenge

It's time for a new challenge at Four Seasons and our theme is still
in the cold winter months of January.

We have a cold and snowy mood board for inspiration!
Anything Goes Winter

I let the bottom right corner inspire me with the cold snowy scene
and the red bench.  I added a bit of the upper left corner as well
by adding instead a chipmunk, a couple of squirrels!

The background was stamped with Memento London Fog ink using a never before used (NBUS)
Penny Black Snow Forest background stamp.
The sentiment is from Altenew.

I hope you will join in our WINTER fun at Four Seasons
and see all the fun winter creations by the Design Team!
