Your Day To Celebrate

Our The Neglected Stuff challenge starts again today, a new month, a new challenge!

It is always an anything goes challenge using your very neglected stuff
that you have had for a long time, you can even have used it before but just
not recently.

Back in October of 2024 Simon Says sent me this cute Festive Balloons
stamp and die set for my birthday, free!  All I had to do was put it in my cart
and pay shipping.

I stamped it in Versamark on vellum then colored it with Copis on the back side.
I used the matching die to then cut it out and attach it to a Spellbinders die cut.
The background paper was also cut with a SB die from a mostly used pad of
Pink & Main It's A Party 6x6 paper pad I am trying to use up.
The sentiment is part of the stamp set.

I'm sure you have plenty of neglected stuff too and we would love to have
you join in with us!

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Creating!!

Candy Cane Bouquet

Hello friends, the year is getting closer to the end  and if you have been
joining our challenge at Peace On Earth all year
then you should have a nice assortment of Christmas cards by now!

We always have a fun mood board to inspire!

I let the candy canes 'sway' me as I had a fun die set I bought in 2024
from Honey Bee Lovely Layers Candy Cane.
The canes themselves have 3 layers, I added a metallic silver for the
first layer giving a bit of shine.  All the pieces other then the
sentiment are part of the set.  I added a bit of white embossing
powder to the leaves for a bit of a 'snowy' look.  The sentiment is
from The Ton and the background paper is Mintay.

We hope to see you over at Peace On Earth,
always plenty of pretty inspiration there
from the design team!!

October 2025 Halloween Colors

Hello friends, we are into another month at
Love Those Pretty Papers  where you must use your designer papers.
Our OPTIONAL theme is Halloween Colors.

I opted to use a bit of purples and orange an make a more 'fall-ish'
card then a Halloween one due to the fact that from being on the TOB
team I have more then plenty of Halloween cards for the year.

I used a pretty plaid gold embossed paper from Memory Box
Gladiola Plaid that I won from them at one of their fun challenges,
die cut with a Waffle Flower Lacy Layers 2 die..
The image is (I think) is an old Flourishes stamp set that I first stamped
with Versamark them embossed with SNS Coffee EB powder.
The image was colored with Olo markers and the other pieces came from my 'spare parts' bin.

I have for my 'anything goes' card a cute and fun hen die cut and layered together
that I purchased from Cottage Cutz Folk Art Hen.  I used two different
pieces of paper from Carta Bella Country Kitchen, one piece being die cut with
Lattice Beauty Edger.  The sentiment is stamped on a Sizzix die and I added
a few bits of 'bling' to it.

I think she is pretty 'cool' hen and I love how colorful she is!
I have several of their folk art dies that I purchased at one of their
fabulous sales they have now and then.  Hope to see your Pretty Papers at our challenge too!

Pumpkin Time At Simply Clean & Simple

Hello friends, we have an OPTIONAL theme at our
Simply Clean & Simple challenge and it is PUMPKINS!

I pulled out an old stamp I purchased years ago at a garage sale
that is a SU 1999 stamp.  Funny how many people get rid of
their wood block stamps, all the better for me LOL, as I keep them all!

I added a few strips cut with Honey Bee banners and a spider web
die cut with a Cottage Cutz die.
Pretty simple but that is what we are all about CAS!

Come on over and have some fun with us at SCAS
and see all the fun designs from our design team!!

October 2025

Hello friends, we have our new monthly challenge starting today at
Triple B where are all about the three B's
Birds~Blooms~Butterflies.
You can one do one, two or all three, but at least one is a must!

We have a mood board for inspiration but you can use any colors
you would like.

I was inspired by the orange colors and the green color
behind the robin using that color for my card base.

The flower stamp I used is one I won several years ago
from a challenge blog.  It is Woodware Boxed Daisies Trio
that I turned into orange cone flowers.

I spattered a gold metallic paint on, which is much easier to see IRL.

Thanks for stopping by...happy creating!!

Two Old Bats October Challenge

Hello friends and happy 'almost Halloween!
Our year round Halloween challenge at Two Old Bats has
finally made it's way back to October!
We have a fun and somewhat spooky mood board for inspiration,
but your creation just needs to be any Halloween!

I let a few things inspire me, one being the silly fun Frankenstein
on the mood board and also the Frankie's I have seen on Pinterest
made with the SU Sizzix Bigz die.  I think this die might be the first
Sizzix die I ever bought and it sure was fun to bring it out again
to use for Frankie!  His facial features were made with SU 1" and 3/4" punches.
The mouth was hand drawn and I debated about putting stitches on it,
in the end I decided not too, I kind of like his goofy grin.
If you want to see a good video on it
then visit HERE as the design credit goes to her!
My background paper is Brutus Monroe Spooky Halloween.

Come on over to Two Old Bats,
after all it 'tis the season'!!

A Good Day

Our challenge at Word Power is all about the words,
meaning we want to see BIG sentiments/words on your card!

My card is nothing to write home about, but, the great thing about it
is that I used up the LAST piece of my Doodlebug Happy Harvest 6x6
paper pad, well, I do have scraps of it left but for the most part the actual
pad is gone.  This makes me so happy as I have a basket on my desk with
pads of paper in it that have 3 or 4 sheets left I am trying to use up, there are 34 of them
so to have one gone is exciting!

I used die cuts from Cheery Lynn Designs and Sizzix
to stamp my big
Hero Arts Handwritten Affirmations Sentiment on.

We would love to see your BIG sentiments at Word Power!!

Colorful Options October 2025

Hello friends, today at Colorful Options our colors are fitting for
October, Black and Orange.  Lots of options here as it doesn't have to be Halloween
just anything in these two colors.  Not a fan of this months mood board?  Then
you can always use rainbow colors if you prefer!

I was inspired not only by the colors but the black kitty cat as well.
I used for the first time a Honey Bee Lovely Layers Scaredy Cat die
as well as an old embossing folder from Cuttlebug embossed on
Cord'dinations Black Magic paper that I then sanded to let the color through.

Come on over and have some 'colorful' fun with us!!

October 2025 Fall

We are into our second FALL Season at The Four Seasons
and have a very fun and 'fall-ish mood board for inspiration,
but you can create anything fall!

I was inspired by the bottom left picture with all the fall colors and
the house.  I used papers from Brutus Monroe's Fall Into Seasons.
This paper is so pretty it really doesn't need anything more added  to it.
The sentiments are from the Hero Arts 2023 Fall card kit.

I ended up with two cards as I mistakenly adhered down the wrong side
of the paper I had intended to use, so just started over and made a
second card.

Card #1 (the one I had intended to do)

Card #2 (the one I adhered the wrong side)

Anyhow, both sides are beautiful papers so it worked out
well and I have two cards to show for it!

Trick or Treat

Hello friends, Double D has a brand new theme for October and it is a DOOZY!!
We know some aren't fond of Halloween so we have a word inspired challenge theme this time,
you can read about it below!

Theme:  Trick or Treat
Smell My Feet
Give Me Something Good To Eat
( let the words inspire you, Example: trick or treaters,
something that smells (even animals sniff and smell or so does an apple pie), something with feet,  something good to eat (Ice cream, candy, fruit)
Just let your imagine run with it!

Along with the words to inspire we have a fun
mood board for inspiration too, I think you will get the idea!

I did go with the Halloween concept and let the trick or treat
words inspire me right along with that cute ghost
trick or treating in the top left photo.  Of course having a new
Halloween Trick or Treat ghost die set also contributed a bit too!!

I purchased this die set around Halloween 2024 but it arrived too late
to use it that year, so this is my first time of pulling it out and using it.  I thought it was the cutest die from Simon Says!
The background is one of several packs I also purchased last year from
Picket Fence Studios, they come in an A2 card front but I trimmed off a bit
so I could have a nice card base edge underneath.  I left a sentiment off the front
as I felt the background and cute die cuts were all it needed.

Once again the DT girls did an amazing job with this
challenge theme, so make sure to go to Double D
and check out all the fun variety of inspiration!

Acorns & Leaves

Hello friends, at Can You Handle The Pressure we have a NEW
OPTIONAL theme and it is Trees and/or Leaves.
We are an anything goes challenge though as long as you use an
embossing folder which is a MUST!
This challenge encourages you to get those EB folders out and
put them to use.  With so many new ones on the market and the awesome
3D folders, it's a pretty easy challenge!

I first inked up a panel with a few fall-ish colors of  Distress inks
Fossilized Amber, Shabby Shutters, Abandoned Coral, and Carved Pumpkin.
I embossed with a Spellbinders Falling Leaves folder.
A die cut from Tutti Designs Stitched Nesting Banners was cut from
Lawn Fawn Fruit Salad paper.  I added a twine bow and a cute
Tutti Designs Oak Sprig colored with Copics and ink.
I might add a sentiment later if I can find one that looks like it belongs
on the card front!

We hope to see you and your embossing folders at
Can You Handle The Pressure!

Wishing You A Merry Christmas

Hello friends, we have a fun inspiration board but you can
create anything Christmas at our Peace On Earth Challenge!

Being I always try to use our boards for inspiration to create
this was a tough one for me as all I saw was trains, silly me lol,
as there are plenty of other things on this board, look at all the reindeer, wreaths,
rocking horse and even the jolly fellow himself.
But I ended up going with the colors I saw, greens, reds, and kraft.
I had ordered a package of Picket Fence watercolor glossy card fronts and they contained all the colors I needed.
The sentiment is The Ton Styled Christmas Sentiments.
Another easy holiday card!!

Happy Birthday Butterfly

Hello friends, today at Double D our new challenge starts with a new
theme of Make Your Own Backgrounds.
We have an inspiration board but you can create any background
you want, think inks, powders, stencils, stamps, sprays,  and so on!

My background was made with spritzing water on watercolor paper
then sprinkling Nuvo  cherry bomb shimmer powder on and spritzing again.

I also used a new Sizzix stamp set and die Butterfly Birthday.  I love how this
butterfly stamp has the sentiment on one of the wings.  The black doily underneath
is Cheapo die Flower Doily.  The greens and flowers came from my already made stash
of homemade flowers from Spellbinders Bold Blooms.

If you like making your own backgrounds or need to challenge
yourself to do so, then come on over to Double D
and show us what you have, check out the amazing

TOB September 2025 Reminder

Hello friends, we still  have a couple weeks left of our
year round Halloween challenge at
Two Old Bats
and even have a fun and spooky mood board for inspiration!

Last year Picket Fence had these spooky glossy card fronts
called 'Blue Moon' that I used for the focus of my card.
I had some transparent ghostly stickers I added
and love how you can see through them
just like a 'real' ghost!!!

Happy Birthday To You

Hello friends, it's time for our fun challenge at Beautiful Blossoms
where we are all about blossoms!

We always have a pretty floral mood board but you can create any color as
long as flowers are you main focus.

I went with in a very different direction this time around using a beautiful
wildflower A2  card front from Picket Fence.  I added a foiled sentiment
gifted to me from one of our prize winners.
Very simple but gorgeous just the same!

Hope to see your pretty blooms at Beautiful Blossoms!

Birthday Card

At Can You Handle The Pressure where our challenge is all about
EMBOSSING FOLDERS our OPTIONAL theme is LAYERS!
You don't have to go with our theme but you MUST use an embossing folder to enter.

In 2024 Simon Says Stamps had numerous 99 cent sales and every once
in awhile I was able to catch one before it all sold out.
That is where this little EB folder came from, I was actually able to get 4 different ones.
They emboss and also cut the center out.

After embossing I added a white back and stamped a The Greetery birthday
sentiment on. I layered that onto a scrap of purple card stock.
The designer paper underneath is Brutus Monroe Spring Flowers
and can you believe that paper pad was also one of the 99cent purchases!

We would love to see you at Can You Handle The Pressure
layered up or not!

Time To Celebrate

Hello friends, it's time to celebrate at
The Sisterhood of Crafters with our theme of
BIRTHDAYS.

For my birthday card
I used a newly purchased stencil and die set from
Pink Fresh Studios Ribbons & Balloons.
This was shocking as I actually used this the same day I received it
in the mail, shocking for me LOL!

I used mostly a lot of Altenew inks with the exception of the yellow balloon
which was inked with TH Distress Squeezed Lemonade.
The sentiment is from The Greetery and the background die is
Spellbinders Hemstitch Oval.

Birdie Ornament

Hello friends, it's once again time for our challenge at Peace On Earth.
We have a pretty inspiration board but you can create anything Christmas.

I was inspired by all the pretty ornaments .  I used a pre-embossed
panel that I had purchased years and years ago at Joann's and turned the cut out into
an ornament by adding an ornament hanger to the top and a pretty Wild Rose paper
underneath the circle cut out.  Gloss 'mint' Pops of Color that I received free with an order
from Scrapbookdotcom was added to the flower centers on the base, these drops are
very similar to the Nuvo drops and are easy to use

Come and join myself and the DT at Peace on Earth! .

LTPP September 2025 Favorite Brand of Paper

Hello friends, time to get those pretty papers you have been hoarding and join
our Love Those Pretty Papers challenge.
Our OPTIONAL theme is  Your Favorite brand of paper and WHY!
However, we are an anything goes challenge as long
as you use your pretty papers.

That's a hard one for me as I have lots and lots of brands that I
dearly love but I went with one that I have adored for years and that
is MINTAY, (why?) it is a gorgeous paper from Poland with page
after page of beauty in the best quality.  I used to have everyone
they ever came out with but slowed down buying it this last year.
I also love P13 also a paper from Poland and Paper Rose has gorgeous papers
and I could go on and on, I used to be a sewer and paper has always
reminded me of pretty fabric, hence my buying so much of it.
My card is Mintay Lavender Farm, you can tell by the name  how gorgeous it must be.
I let the paper do all the work and added a Spellbinders sentiment and a few
Sue Wilson butterflies and pearls.

For my anything goes card I used a cute and never been
used before Craft Consortium Bluebells & Buttercups (2021)to
create a child's card.  I also have the stamps that go with this
paper and of course haven't used yet either.  The image is part of
the paper pack.

This challenge is great as it challenges you to use
all those pretty papers if like me you have been hoarding
for years!

A Little Bit Older

Hello friends, our Simply Clean & Simple challenge starts today
for the month of September with an OPTIONAL theme of BIRTHDAYS.  But you can create anything, just keep it CAS!

I used for the first time this adorably cute Basket stamp from Whimsy Stamps.
I stamped it on a Tutti Designs scalloped square with
Lisa Horton Cloud 9 Solid Black ink.  This has become my favorite black
ink to stamp and color with, it is so crisp and precise!
I cut a slightly larger square like the one above from
Honey Bee Gingham Galore Fall paper.  The sentiment is

A Little Note

Just A little note to say HELLO, a big hello I might say
which fits in perfectly for our challenge at
WORD POWER
where your sentiments are the center stage or focal of your card!

I used a great sentiment from Concord & 9th's Picked Posie Greetings stamp set.
The butterfly is a die that I purchased during one of Simon Says 99 cent sales.
It is Shimmer Butterfly.  I used some Apple Green Nuvo for the center of the flowers.
The sentiment was  stamped with Dew Drop Rich Cocoa ink. A paper scrap was added
under the die cut butterfly.

We would love to have you join us at Word Power
where your sentiment says it all!

Triple B September 2025 Challenge

Hello friends, it's that time again for a new monthly challenge at
Triple B where we are all about birds~birds~butterflies.
You can use one, two or all three but at least one has to be used.

We have a pretty September mood board for inspiration.

I used some gingham paper from Honey Bee die cut with a Waffle Flower Lacy 2 die.
The stamp is a never been used before Deep Red Boot Sunflowers colored
with Olo's and Altenew Alcohol markers.  The image was stamped with
Lisa Horton Cloud 9 ink on a Cottage Cutz Scalloped Eyelet die.

You Are My Sunshine

Hello friends, we have  new theme at Double D Challenges
and it is MUSIC.

Music theme, use sheet music, musical instruments,
anything to do with music, you can even let a song
inspire you, just tell us what song it is.

We have a fun mood board for inspiration.

I had a fun stamp/die set from Avery Elle Forest Dance Party 2021 that I used
for the first time.  I colored these cute characters in with a mix of Olo's, Copic's and
Altenew markers.  The sentiment is from Hampton Art 2015.  It is a woodblock stamp that
I stamped 3 different times and still couldn't get a perfect stamp, one I even did with Versamark
and EB powder and still the same result.  I couldn't put in my platform as it was a
woodblock stamp.  It is what it is as they say.  I had to make a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 size
card so all my little critters could fit.  the little music notes are part of the stamp set.

We would love to hear some 'music' from you at
Double D!!

Nature Challenge

It's once again time for our challenge at Stencil Fun and our
OPTIONAL theme is NATURE but you can create anything as long as a
stencil has been used!

My nature card is a stencil by Hero Arts Color Layering Bee Florals.
There are 5 stencils to layer in this set. I used all TH Distress Inks,
squeezed lemonade, mustard seed, shabby shutters, peeled paint, and black soot.
I left a sentiment off for now.

For my anything goes card I used a favorite pretty stencil I have used before
Waffle Flower Layered Bows and stenciled with Altenew inks
Winter Lake and Artic Mountain.  The scalloped circles are Tutti Design
and the floral is Graphic 45 rub ons, or Press ons as they call them.
The sentiment is The Ton Easy Expressions.

Two Old Bats September Challenge

Hello friends, it is getting closer to Halloween month and if you have joined us
all year at Two Old Bats then you should have a nice selection
of Halloween cards all ready to mail!

We have a spooky fun mood board for inspiration!

Witches normally spook me out but for some reason last year when I
was on my binge of buying LOTS of new Halloween I purchased this
spooky A Wee Bit Wicked stamp from Picket Fence.
She is a rather large stamp so I had to make a square card of 5 1/2 x 5 1/2
to fit her 'pretty' face on.  Look at the little mouse sitting on her hat,
he had better watch out or he will be in her cauldron of witches brew!!  I added a glittery crow to her hat and a few
glittery stars.

Hope to see YOU over at Two Old Bats!!

September 2025 Colorful Options

Hello friends, time for our monthly challenge at Colorful Options
and we have a pretty wild and very colorful mood board for you.

It took me awhile to decide how I wanted to interpret this though it does say anything goes
I wanted to stay within these colors.  Going through my stencils  I came across a
Brutus Monroe Quad Pattern stencil (another of my 99cent sale purchases from Simon Says) and thought it would work well for these
colors.  I used all Distress inks for my colors, faded jeans,
carved pumpkin, lumberjack plaid  and squeezed lemonade.
I then die cut a Tutti Designs oval and topped it with
Sue Wilson Shadow Box-Celebrations balloon dies, I hand drew the strings.
The sentiment is Easy Expressions from The Ton.

I know it sure has opened up a lot of opportunity to use my poor NS
and been fun in the process!

My card today features a stamp set I have had around for quite some time
and never got around to use.  It's a cute stamp with a few nice sentiments and
from Creative Expressions Missy Mouse (2021).
She was colored in with a few Olos.  I used a few scrap papers behind and a
trim piece across the top from my spare parts bin, but it is a Cheery Lynn Designs  die.
