Happy Birthday

I have been using bright and happy colors lately,
maybe it is because it is not so bright and happy here lately...
well at least outside I mean,
as for the most part "I" am happy most of the time lol!
And guess what??  It is not an Easter card!!

Today's card is using a new die from the Tutti Designs release...
so excited to show it on my blog for the first time.

The die is Balloon Bouquet.
I had a lot of fun with this die,
first cutting a bright yellow card stock background
then cutting the die from a shiny yellow stripe paper.
I then used scraps to place behind each balloon for fun colors.
I pretty pink RRR ribbon/bow was added
as well as a 'happy birthday' sentiment and a few sequins to finish.

Double D Challenges Neons/Brights

Our new challenge at Double D Challenges is
Neon's or Brights....
WOW, this board will wake you right up..lol!

I bought a bit of neon inks, glitter, ribbons and etc awhile back
and have to say I haven't found where I put any of it...lol
(except the glitter of course, since I am a 'glitter groupie' at SNS)

I have lots and  mean lots of flower dies and I thought it was about time
I used some of them (I let the bright flowers in the mood board inspire me).

I die cut the flowers from white card stock, then colored each with Copics
I then coated each flower layer with Brushable Glue, then neon glitters.
All the glitters I used are from Sparkle N Sprinkle, but all but one 'Electrified"
have been discontinued (boohoo)...they are so bright and pretty!
I added 'Prills' to the flower centers.

I used a die cut 'Mexican Tile' from CLD for the background.

The sentiment was stamped with Sparkle N Sprinkle Black Detail EB powder.
The sentiment is from SU stamp set 'Happy Harmony'..and it is from 2007..Wow! (NBUS stamp)
At first I thought the word Harmony was blurred and stamped it about 3 times
and each and every time it came out the same!
So, I finally looked at the stamp cover and that is how it is supposed to be....(almost a booboo..lol)
so now I have a few extra stamped sentiments to use at a later time...LOL!

Head on over to the Double D Challenge blog and see all the bright and beautiful
inspiration there from the Design Team, they nail it every time!

Hoppy Easter To You!

I wanted to mention to all my friends that if I haven't
made around to your blogs yet, I will...
it's just that I have 2 of my granddaughters
coming to stay for Spring break (both are 11)
and a third one that might join us daily...we'll see.
We have lots of plans and of course low temps and
accumulating snow predicted but 70 degree temps for Monday...
only in Michigan where you can go from winter boots to flip flops in 24 hours...lol!

I am sure you all read too about the terrible incident here in
my home town about the carbon monoxide poisoning of 13 people
at a local Quality Inn
with one passing away....
so sad, just a birthday party going badly wrong...
keep the Watts family in your prayers, I did not know them personally
but from what I understand he was a fabulous. loving  child!
My heart goes out to them!
(I am mentioning this as I had a few emails asking about this).

The card for this afternoon is using a brightly colored card stock
using another Tutti Designs die 'Scrolly Bunny'.

I used a pretty embossing folder,
a RRR ribbon/bow and tied on a 'hoppy Easter' sentiment with
hemp twine  and the same for his neck bow!

Have to run...have a wonderful afternoon!!

Easter Lamb

Today I have another simple Easter card using
the Tutti Designs Easter Lamb.

Like I am sure I have mentioned before with my other
two 'lamb' cards,  this die is a pretty nice size
and I think would make a wonderful baby card.
I love when dies can be used for other then they were intended.

I had a cute little cloud designer paper which seemed to be a
perfect back drop for this lamb die.

After die cutting from white card stock, I stamped the
Easter sentiment (from Flourish's) on the body of the lamb
and gave him a pretty little hemp bow.

This is my last Easter lamb card.....but I have plenty more
"Easter cards' that will be showing up here this week...
and next and next...well, you get the idea...lol!

Happy Easter Egg

I have a lot of Easter cards to share
and this one today is a pretty simple one...
sometimes simple is good.....yes?

Two die cuts and  a pretty gingham bow made this card.

The dies used for this card are from Tutti Designs.
The background is Nesting Stitched Rectangle
and the egg is Happy Easter Egg.
I cut the egg from a Ken Oliver watercolor paper,
giving it all those 'fab' colors.

Even thought the bow stands out a bit, it really will be
a pretty simple mailer!
Oh, the ribbon/bow is part of my
Really Reasonable Ribbon club...and it's gingham!!

Easter Blessings

Happy Sunday to you!!
More Easter coming your way....
yes I know, but I have LOTS of them I
made for Tutti Designs and after all the work
I put into them I have to show them on my blog...lol!

This one is a favorite die of mine, actually quite a large die.

I used a pretty striped background paper,
I like that it is so pastel
and sets the die off nicely.

The Tutti Designs die for this one is Holy Crosses.
It has 3 crosses on it, the large center one,
then a smaller one on each side.
(I am mentioning this, as I covered one of them up with my flowers...lol)!

After I die cut it from white card stock,
by rubbing it on with my finger.
If you are not familiar with this,
it is a new product carried at Sparkle N Sprinkle.
You can use the link above to check it out.
It gives a beautiful shimmer.sheen to your projects
and is wonderful to rub on chipboard as well.
I have also seen some of the girls use it with stencils...
it dries fast, so you need to work fast!

I finished by adding some die cut leaves a few flowers from my stash.

Happy Easter

Happy April's Fools Day!!

It's the first day of the month and that means it is also
the day for a new challenge at Dies R Us (no foolin'...lol)
Our challenge theme is EASTER.

I recently received an order from Dies R Us
with this pretty

It is a pretty and delicate die that I die cut twice,
once from white card stock and once from yellow card stock,
then paper pieced all those little yellow tulips in.
(I can use the  yellow frame for another project).
It was actually very easy, like fitting puzzle pieces.

I added an embossed background,
from white card stock and colored them in with Copics...easy!

using one of the 3 birdhouse from the set, stamped a sentiment,
added a bow and it was complete.

Make sure and visit the Dies R Us challenge blog to be
totally inspired by my teammates!
