DOTD Colorful Options Challenge

Colorful Options is going a bit different today
and the words of our challenge blog owner:

We are celebrating the Catrina's of Day of the Dead.  They are so beautiful!  Day of the Dead is celebrated 11/1-11/2.

The definition of Catrina:

La Catrina is the iconic, elegant skeleton figure that serves as the international symbol of Mexico's Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). Created in the early 1900s, she represents the Mexican philosophy of embracing death joyfully rather than fearing it, and acts as a humorous reminder that we are all ultimately equal

Option 1 — Catrina Colors From Our Board

Create a project inspired by the vibrant colors of a Catrina from the photos below.

Think bold pinks, bright oranges, and sunny yellows.  Mix colors freely or focus on a favorite—bright, festive, and full of life.

Option 2 — Pick Your Color

Prefer something different? Choose a color from a favorite Catrina.  Don't have a favorite,  try Google or Pintrest & search "Catrina."

Let your chosen color take the lead—clean, layered, detailed, or graphic.

I took the real easy way with my card using a Craft Consortium
'Day of the Dead' paper with all the correct colors and images
to make a perfect 'Catrina' card.  I just added a Tutti Designs die cut 'celebrate' sentiment.
Easy peasy, glad I had that paper to use!

We can't wait to see YOUR take on our challenge at
    Colorful Options....see ya there!!

    Let There Be Peace

Well friends, here we are again with a new challenge and a new
inspiration board at Peace On Earth.
Lots of fun things to inspire you here if you so desire,
but you can create anything Christmas themed.

I loved all the inspiration on this board and decided to use my never
been used before cute Folk Art reindeer from Impression Obsession.
They reminded of the sweet little deer in the bottom left photo.

I also did a second VERY easy card as I used a trimmed card front
from a store bought card we received a few years ago.
I normally cut those cards apart and make Christmas tags with them as
they make the most beautiful tags, but this one reminded me so much of the upper
left photo I had to make a card with it. The panel actually has some embossing
around the outer edges, adding even more beauty to it.
I added a sentiment from The
    Ton.

But wait, that's not all, I also made a 2nd card with this card front
panel, once again adding a The Ton sentiment!!

Hope to see you over at Peace On Earth!

    Autumn Is In The Air

We are into the last  FALL season at The Four Seasons and have a pretty
fall mood board to entice you!!

I thought this mood board was so pretty with it's soft blue/gray-ish colors
and had a pretty paper in my stash from Spellbinders that reminded me
a lot of the board.  Because I didn't want to loose much of the design I
decided to make a mini slimline card with a large sentiment from
Honey Bee's Autumn (buzzword) stamp set.
    Easy peasy as they say!

Come on over and join our LAST Fall season for this year at
The Four Seasons, next month we will be moving into winter!!
