Trick or Treat

 Today is my third and last card for the Whimsy Stamps
Halloween challenge using once again their Lil Friends
card fronts, leaving with just four more to use up!

The sentiment comes from the same set and I added a 
small stitched pumpkin.  I think this has to be one of my
favorite images in the set, though I do love them all!!

Isn't he just the cutest dragon??  I think I will finish up the other four I have left
instead of putting them away yet for another year!!

Happy Halloween

 Today is my second card for the Whimsy Stamps challenge
and the theme is Halloween using Whimsy Stamps products.

I once again used their Lil Friends card fronts
making a quick and easy card but non the less very cute!

Because of the spider image I added a corner web
as every spider needs a web, at least they do
in my house it seems.
The sentiment if part of the card front bundle.

Brewin' Up Some Fun

 I have a fun and easy card today that I created for the
challenge at Whimsy Stamps with the theme being Halloween
and Whimsy Stamp products the focal point of your card.

Once again my color program was having it's fun with me
as the card base is a much brighter orange and the witches dress
a much lighter orange, go figure!!

But either way she sure is a cute plump little witch!

I used one of eight of their Lil Friends card fronts
and added a sentiment from the same set along with a die cut
bat from Tonic.  These make the quickest and cutest
Halloween cards to send out!

I'll be back the next two days with more of these card fronts,
each one so unique, cute and fun!!

Autumn Wishes

 Today at our challenge at Can You Handle The Pressure,
the challenge that is all about using your embossing folders,
wet embossing is okay but you MUST use an embossing folder!

Our OPTIONAL theme is TREES,
but you can create anything as long as an embossing folder is used.

I had a piece of yellow card stock just sitting there to be used
so thought it would be perfect for the fall card I had in mind.

Stenciled Roses

 It's Stencil Week at Just Us Girls and since I had a 'free' day
I thought I would join in with these stenciled Simon Says Stamp
Elegant stenciled roses.  I stenciled about six of these in various colors
and these three cards have been waiting patiently on my desk 
for their debut!  All were stenciled with various colors of inks
from Altenew with the exception of the orange rose,
that one was all Simon Pawsitively Saturated inks!
The sentiments on all three are SU Warmest Regards.

Happy Birthday Bear

 Hello friends, since I don't have a DT post until Saturday
I thought I'd find a challenge to join in for today.
I chose The Paper Players CAS Bears challenge.
I hope my card is CAS enough for the challenge but I guess
everyone has a bit a difference of CAS.  I don't have a lot of white space
but I do have a lot of 'green' space and after looking at the DT cards
there, I thought mine was CAS enough!

I had pulled out a different bear die to use but then caught site of this

little guy that has never been used yet and decided it was time for

his debut!!  He is a Cottage Cutz 'Campin Out Bear On Log die.

I die cut him from a scrap of white card stock then colored each piece in with

TH Distress inks, makes it easy and faster that way them trying to

die cut each piece single.

After he was put together I decided he needed some pretty posies to go

with him so some of my already finished Spellbinders Bold Blooms

were added.  The little sentiment is a leftover piece from my Katy Sue 3D cards.  

See his little cup of hot cocoa perhaps?  so cute with his little
paw print on it, I surely had fun with this guy and not near
as picky as some of the CC dies can be...total FUN!!

The colors are a much more deeper brown, so hard to get the correct colors sometimes, and the flowers on the right are much more a golden yellow color, sigh!

That's it for today, I am headed out to lunch and a shopping spree with my daughter!!

Make A Wish Birthday Card

Hello friends, today I am joining a few challenges  with a card
I created using 'snippets' of my pretty papers.
If you are like me you have lots and lots of not only pretty paper pads
but also plenty of leftover pieces from those papers.
The die is one I purchased a while back from Amazon
and I think it might be a Kokorosastudio die .
I had fun making several cards with this die with various scrap papers,
a perfect die for those scrap pieces.

Hi For Fall

Time for our new challenge at Pick 3,
the challenge where you pick three of the elements below. 

My pick three was pretty easy as I decided to make a fall card,

perfect just to say 'hi' or for a fall birthday.

I chose Brown~Leaves~Checks.

This is one of my favorite embossing folders, even though not a 3D
it embosses beautiful panels.  The leaf dies are a fist time use,
I like them so much that I am sure I will use them again and again,
the detail stitching on them is great, another set I picked up
during one of their fabulous sales.
The sentiment is one that I won from a challenge blog,
I miss Paper Smooches as they had great dies and such!

Sweet Holiday

It's the start of our second challenge this month at
Peace on Earth
and we have a mood board for inspiration.
You can however create any Christmas themed project you want. 

When I looked at this board I saw candy canes, candy canes and more
candy canes lol.  So of course that is what I went with.
I used a 'new to me' Newton's Nook stamp set but have no idea of the 

name as it was given to me and the stamp set says 2017 so am assuming it 
is retired, colored in with Copics and Olo markers.  I used some papers from P13 Santa's Workshop, a Cottage Cutz

die and a bit of Crystal Nuvo for the hat  and oval.  The sentiment is
part of the stamp set.

 It's challenge time at Double D and we are asking  to see PINK

I had something totally different planned for MY pink card
but then received these Katy Sue 3D kits purchased with an Amazon

gift card I had received.  These are part of a 3D wedding set that you receive
2 each of three different designs.  When my grandson got married my relatives
all but cleaned me out of wedding cards, so I have slowly been trying
to replace them.

Halloween Greetings

We have a couple more weeks left for our year round
Two Old Bats Halloween challenge
and a fun mood board for inspiration! 

I was inspired by those spooky witches.

I had a Cricut cut witch in my spare parts box and she has been waiting
patiently for quite some time to appear.  I didn't want her to cast any

spells on me so I put her and her fun back riding kitty to use.
The paper is Crafters Companion Vintage Halloween.

Welcome Autumn

Hello friends, I am guest designing this month at the very fun challenge at   
I Spy With My Little Eye 
with the theme of TEXT.

I created my card with some fun fall background text from an OLD
and I do mean old paper from Pebbles (2016).
It may be old, but it worked perfect for my Cottage Cutz Acorn Owl.
I used several different colors of TH Distress inks to color my owl,
all pieces were die cut from an ivory/cream card stock scrap!
The sentiment (cut three times and stacked) is a die from 
Karen Burniston Word Set 7 - Autumn.
I also used a Waffle Flower Lacy Layers 2 to cut the text background.

I want to thank Ellie for having me a guest designer this month and
certainly hope YOU will come and join the fun challenge too!

Thoughts of You

Beautiful Blossoms challenge starts today,
the challenge that is all about blooms!  As always there is a pretty
inspiration floral to inspire but any floral is invited! 

I had fun stamping and coloring this card with Copic's and
using a pretty Simon Says stamp set Vintage Garden.
I stamped two of the four floral images in this set.

The set also includes several  large sentiments, one of which

I used on this card.  A Poppystamps Nordic butterfly was added
left over from another project.

Cloudy Day

At Can You Handle The Pressure our OPTIONAL theme is
 Cloudy Day
but you can create anything as long as you have used an
embossing folder, after all, that is what our challenge is all about.

I used a couple fun things for this card,
a Simon Says EB folder Heart Showers.  This folder also comes with the
cloud  dies, so CUTE!!
The stamp set is from Colorado Craft Get Together.
The heart balloons are some I picked up at a craft store a few years back,
I am slowly using them up.

Rose Frames

 The  Sisterhood of Crafters monthly challenge starts today
and the theme is FRAMES!

 I have a nice and an extensive collections of the
Waffle Flower Postage collection and when I saw they came out with
frames for the stenciled pieces I was excited and ordered them
right away.  Good thing too as they went out of stock pretty fast
but am sure at the posting of this they are now plentiful to order.
I used the Waffle Flower Roses stencil and of course the 
Postage College die.  I die cut those cute frames from scrap pieces of
Stardream Emerald shimmer paper.  The back ground paper reminded of me of
an old vintage wallpaper and it is Mintay  City of Love.
The sentiment is from The Greetery!

 The Neglected Stuff is back this month with a new challenge,
no themes, we just want to see your neglected stuff,
you know those things you just had to have but have yet to use
or have maybe used a long time ago!

For my card I used an Acorn die set from The Greetery,
the sample card saw I is what made me purchase the set
as I loved the soft fall colors and the great design,
I pretty much cased and copied it but I think theirs is a black
background, I used navy blue and then of course
changed the sentiment using a Spellbinders die of the month Sept 24.
I can't believe this is the first time using this die as I was so excited to
have it arrive, only to leave it sit and sit!

Hello Peace On Earth fans , our year is fast-ly winding down
and if you have been joining in our challenges for most of
the year then you should have a pretty good supply of
Christmas cards, but we are not done yet.
For inspiration we have the pretty mood board below
but you can create anything Christmas!

This board inspired me to use for the first time an angel die (Angelic Sentiments) I 
purchased in 2024 from Papertrey Ink and have yet to use, I did die cut a few angels from it
but never made them into a card!  I started out by embossing a background
for my angel with a TH Alterations EB folder on cream card stock.
I used Spellbinders Essentials Arches, layered for my angel's final background.
I also die cut a piece of holly and added a sentiment from The Ton.

Fall Florals

It is once again a new month and that means a new monthly
challenge at Love Those Pretty Papers.
Our challenge is all about  taking those papers out of 'hoarding'
and putting them to good use, we don't mean a tiny strip of paper
but a whole LOT of paper showing!

We have an OPTIONAL theme and it is FALL FLORALS
but we are an anything goes challenge as long as your pretty papers are used!!

For my Fall Floral card I used one of my many 'favorite' paper
companies and it is P13 Hello Autumn.
I stamped a sentiment from Impression Obsession's Autumn Leaves,
stamped with Dew Drop inks Sweet Plum
which seemed to make the paper perfectly.
A few gold gems were added for interest.

For my anything goes card I pulled out another favorite paper company
Mintay, using their Autumn Splendor pad.
I mean look how adorable this paper is with the two tiny critters on it!!
This card needs nothing more then the papers itself!

Born To Be Wild

 We are all about Clean & Simple at our challenge at
Simply Clean & Simple
with an OPTIONAL theme of Jungle Animals.

I told myself which ever jungle animal stamp I pulled out of
my 'animal' drawer of stamps I would just go with it.
It just happened to be a never been used stamp from
Sparkle N Sprinkle's Leo The Lion.

I think he looks like a big stuffed and fun floppy lion that you just want to hug!
He was colored in with Copics and Olos.
The sentiment is part of the stamp set stamped in Dew Drop Espresso Truffle.
The image was stamped with Lisa Horton's Cloud Nine Solid Black.

 New month, new challenge at Triple B and we certainly have a beautiful
inspiration board, but you can create anything as long as it has
blooms~butterflies~birds, one, two or all three.

Yellow happens to be my favorite color, it's such a happy, cheerful color.
While searching through my stamps for a different DT project
I saw this cute and never been used before Whimsy Duck Couple stamp

and thought it would be perfect for my 'yellow' card.
I had the fun stenciled background all done and waiting to be used
from Pink Fresh Studio Swirl Background.  I thought it worked well with the
whimsical ducks!  I stamped the image with Lisa Horton's Cloud Nine black ink
on a Tutti Designs Nested Dotted die cut Rectangle.  The image was colored in with various
brands of alcohol markers.  The sentiment and die is Lawn Fawn.

 Our Word Power challenge is starting today for the month.
The challenge that is all about making your BIG sentiments the
'star' of your card!

I once again used one of my Simon Says stamps, items I
purchased last year at one of their 99cent sales.
This time I not only was able to purchase the stamp
but the die too.  The set is 'Thanks Always'.
Colored in with Copics and Olo's then die cut to create a
mini slimline card.

Special Day

Today our new challenge starts at Double D and the theme is
Vase or Pitcher.

We have a pretty mood board for inspiration plus the DT girls have
gorgeous inspiration too so make sure to check it out!

I had an SU stamp set in mind to use and after spending over an hour looking

for it I gave up and went with this OLD Inky Antics 'Daisy Bouquets' stamp.

Yes, it's September and yes, I used Spring flowers, but it was what I had and
it fit the theme perfectly so here we are!
I stamped with Lisa Horton Cloud Nine Solid Black ink (my favorite)
then colored in with Copic's and Olo's .  Hard to see but I used a silver
metallic pen around the rim and added some silver half pearls.
The sentiment is one from Katy Sue Designs.
The plaid paper is Lawn Fawn Favorite Flannel.

Witchcraft

 Halloween is just around the corner and we celebrate at
Two Old Bats year round with our fun challenge!
We have an OPTIONAL fun mood board for inspiration and plenty more

I let those spooky fun witches inspire me, that and the Sizzix Witchcraft die
I purchased on sale last year from Simon Says Stamps.
This is a great die as no fussing around with it!  The background paper is

Crafters Companion vintage Halloween.  I slightly popped the kitty up
on the witches back.

There are lots of ways to play along in September — whether you’re inspired by rusty leaves, warm terracotta, weathered wood, rich copper, earthy neutrals, or a full autumn rainbow, the choice is yours.

For my warm browns card I did a card I saw several months back, 
maybe even last fall where they used the Spellbinders Sunflower Serenade
to cover a card base with the layered flowers then trimming along the edge
to make an A2 card.  I die cut 24 flowers which were then layered with a
pop up in-between.  I used all scraps from my 'brown' bag of scraps.  
I did learn a few things after I finished my card.  One was to use a card base
similar to the colors of your flowers as my white card base does show through
here and there, a brown base would of been the better choice!

It looked like a lot of work to me but was actually quite quick and easy.
So easy, I might make a few more in other colors.
My camera makes it look a bit uneven on the sides, but it is not,
it is trimmed even as it should be.
The sentiment is a Spellbinders Betterpress.
