Celebrating January

Here we are a 3rd through January which seems like a very LONG month to me
but to 'ease the pain' it also is the first challenge for
which 'little ole me' is the hostess!

I have chosen the theme
'Celebrating January'
and using anything from the subway art below to inspire you!

For my project I went with the colors and the art itself.
I have had this embossing folder forever it seems and thought
it a perfect background to build from.

I got my very old QuicKutz skates die out
(I seem to use these at least once a year)
and cut blue skates with silver metallic runners.

I used a piece of SU sweater ribbon for the top of each skate
as well as for a bow.
A super fun 'winter' card which celebrates January very well, don't you think?

So pop on over to The Sisterhood and take a peek
at what the 'sistah's' have created, some very fun and creative ideas....
sound like fun?  Then join in with us as we would love to see your creations!!

Entering the following challenges:
Cuttlebug Mania ....Winter Wonderland (1/23)
Unicorn Challenge .... January Blues (1/31)
ABC Christmas Challenge .... A is for ATG...B is for Blue (1/30)
Time Out .... Winter (1/17)

Oh, wow, I would have seen that sweater ribbon and never thought to use it for trim like this. Now I can imagine so many possibilities. You're constantly inspiring me! I LOVE that embossed panel and it's so perfect for the skates. Some dies are favorites that get used over and over again. Your card really speaks to the weather in your area. I should make a rain card, I guess.
