Just a Bit of This and That

I don't have a card today but a few fun photos of life around here
in 'my neck of the woods'.

I have huge flower gardens and they are a MESS!
It has rained here for over a week not allowing me to work in them, prior to that we had a huge heat wave, too hot and sticky to work outside
and guess what, rain is gone, finally some sunlight and here comes the heat wave again.
But I do have a few garden pictures to share from a few weeks ago before all the rain.

My Nine Bark bush

Painted Daisies...funny story, years ago I had several of these and my Mom
would come and help me clean up my gardens and once said
"I got all those wild carrots pulled out for you"...except thing is,
they WERE'NT wild carrots, they were painted daisies...LOL!

Mock Orange

False Indigo, in yellow

One of my many Peonies

Knock Out Roses

Mack, will be 8 months on the 27th, we were visiting a friends
Doodle.  This is his 'summer' haircut.

Mack meeting another Goldendoodle "Smokey" for the first time.

Okay gotta run..enjoy!

Beautiful flowers in so many color ranges. I miss not having much of that anymore. I just cannot do it at this stage of my life. Hubby got me an early birthday present of a hanging plant but the strong rain and wind whipped it so much I am not sure it will even survive. And, I love your darling dogs too. Thanks for sharing your garden and pets with me.

What beautiful gardens you have, I am envious. I'm just too lazy to do the work, and yes, it is work for me. And of course I am in LOVE with Mack. Had a wonderful day on the Island today, the weather was stellar.

Such a beautiful post! I can't believe how far ahead you are compared to us. LOVE your flower choices! Funny story about your Mom, it's kind of great lol Hey, if you save some of your yellow indigo seeds I will save my purple and we can swap, if you want = Friendship Garden! ;)

Oh Diane you have such a green thumb! Your flowers are ALWAYS so gorgeous!! I'm so glad you shared these photos with us ... made me smile with each new photo. And you're so good about knowing the names of all your plants.
OMG look at Mack's face LOL he's terrified of this new creature in front of him! LOL I love the color of Smokey ... not usual is it??

Be still my heart, I've been transported to Heaven!!! You know how I love the garden, Diane, and you've got one heck of a garden. It's like a dream! Mine seems big sometimes, but is small in comparison. Love all that green stretching out behind your mock orange. Don't you love the scent of a mock orange? We have different levels surrounded by thick, brushy woodlands and not enough direct sun for as much color as I'd like, sigh... There was a time I had more sun, but trees have grown and shaded over. Beautiful bold painted daisies! Their foliage does look like carrots! Beautiful feathery foliage beside them, too. Ha! Funny (not) about your mom pulling all your "wild carrots". Rich once pulled up a bunch of my Gaillardia because he thought they were dandelions. He has learned to not "help" me in the garden without direct supervision. Oh, and Mack looks very handsome in his summer do. He's turning into a fine young man! One of Wally and LuLu's best friends is a Golden Doodle down the street. He's a lighter color but a coat like Mack's. Before him was a Golden Doodle with a coat like Smokey's, but a color like Mack's. Wally and LuLu are both having baths today. Must look pretty for our trip! Long comment, I know, but, gosh, I sure enjoyed this post. More flower photos are welcome anytime!
