Nature At It's Best

The Alphabet Challenge has a new letter today
and it is "N" for Nature.
So many possibilities to choose from.

I recently found a new stamp shop about an hour away
and I had to go and check it out.
The stamp I used below is one I purchased there.
Can you believe I actually used a NEW stamp and not let
it sit for years before it saw ink...well I did, I have had it less then a week...
big pat on the back there LOL!

It is from Stacy Stamps and called 'Baby Bear.

I colored this cute little guy in with Copics
and used a Stardust Gelly Roll Pen randomly on the background.
The card base with lavender stripes was a 'reject' from a previous project
and I have been making myself use some of those types of things up.
The sentiment is from SU.

We would love to have you join us for our 'Nature' challenge and make
sure to visit the Alphabet challenge blog to see all the fun nature creations
by the rest of the Design Team!!

Bounty of Fall

Today at The Sisterhood of Crafters Challenge blog it is all about
'Fall Is In The Air'
and being hosted by our 'sistah' Marsha!

I made a pretty CAS card using a never used before stamp
from Stampabilities  'pumpkin trio.

This one of those super easy images to color in with Copics.
The plaid paper is from Echo Park
Celebrate Autumn paper pack.
I seem to be gravitating towards the plaid papers this season...
must be that 'cozy' look!

Fall Leaves Scroll

This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today.

Today's two cards feature the Fall Leaves Scroll die.

The first card has an embossed background,
 a holographic butterfly, bow,
and a 'button' sentiment'!
The 'Fall Leaves Scroll' was cut from a fall designer paper.

The second card was created in somewhat the same way,
designer papers, embossing, an added gold metallic bow and button!

Cool Christmas Birthday

My cute little easel card is on the
Sparkle N Sprinkle blog today...yippee!!

Hi, Diane  with you and my fun
Side Board Easel card.
Not only is this an easel card, but it is also
an 'action' card.
The perfect card for a 'Christmas' birthday!
Let me show you quickly how I created it.

The snowflake image is from Crystal Snowflake 868  stamp set.
It was stamped in Versamark VM001
and embossed with  Indian Spark EP273 embossing powder.

Using  TH 5” Mini Scissors 816E (These are my go to fussy cut scissors),
I easily fussy cut the snowflake out.
A little tip for fussy cutting is to trim away the larger pieces as you go
making it easier to cut around your image.

Next using the newly released stamp set Dancing Penguin 913,
I stamped him with Versamark VM001
and embossed with Black Detail EP171
He was colored in with Copics first, I didn't worry too much
about my coloring as I knew I would be covering him up for the most part with glitter.
It just helps to use the same color as your glitter
so nothing shows thru.

I always start at the top and work my way down, adding one color at a time.
I used myGlitter Brush SG1400 in-between each addition of colors.
I used  SNS Brushable Glue 540 and a small paint brush to apply,'making it
easy to apply the glue where I wanted it.
Glitter colors I used are
Waterfall G1071Black Diamond GM2046 Tangerine GM2043

The 'fur' of the hat ws done after all my other glitters had dried (they dry FAST).
For the hat trim I used SNS Dimensional Glue 539
which puffs up, giving a bit of a 3d effect.
To that I sprinkled on Sparkling Snow G1003.

The card itself was quit easy that I found on Pinterest.
The measurements are
card base 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
top layer for that is 4" x 5 1/4".
For my top layer, I used a snowflake embossing folder that  I brayered
with Versamark VM001 and embossed with Sparkle EP107 embossing powder.
It gave it a very shimmery look!
If you scroll down a bit you can get a good look at it.
Once my little guy was all glittered up, I added a
SNS Action Wobbles AWS12
to the back of him so he could 'dance' on his snowflake
The background (measurements given below) was created by
randomly stamping a small snowflake from the same
Dancing Penguin 913 stamp set with Laguna Bay ink from
Nuvo Diamond Hybrid Ink Pads Sea Siren 81N ink set.
To each snowflake I added CrystalGlitter Drops Emerald City 760N

The 'flap' of the card is 3" x 4 1/2" and scored at 2" and 4".
The 2"  side is adhered to the base and top base layer before the top layer goes on.
As show below I used ½” Tear-ific Tape SAT04
to adhere my top 2 layers on, the measurements for those are
bottom layer 2 7/8" x 3 7/8" and top layer 2 3/4" x 3 3/4"

I also added to the CrystalGlitter Drops Emerald City 760N center of
the large snowflake.
The sentiment was die cut using a small die from the
Ribbon & Bow Layering Die Set 1461E
and stamped with the same Laguna Bay ink.

I know this is picture heavy but honestly it was a lot
easier then it looks!

Pumpkin Trio

Today is the day the Design Team at
The Cutting Cafe blog get together and we showcase
all our designs in one place,
'making it VERY easy for you to see!

Today I used 'Pumpkin Trio Shaped Card' cut file
and talk about EASY, it sure was.

My Cricut pretty much did all the work for me,
all I had to do was put it together and add the details!!

Just by adding some faux stitching and a few bows and my cute card was done.

Here is another card I did awhile back using the same file

there are different ways you can use file, adding more layers etc, by visiting TCC you will see
a few more of this set used in a different way!

Make sure to pop on over to The Cutting Cafe
and see all the wonderful 'pumpkins' and other fall
creations the team has created, LOTS of fun 'stuff'!!

A little Bit 'Inky'

The new challenge today at
to get A little bit 'Inky'.

I have to admit I did a pretty simple ink project
as I saw another challenge I had wanted to join in
and it was to ink up your acrylic stamp block
then stamp on card stock.
I really had planned to join in but as usual time/life
got in the way so I decided I could use that technique
for my project here.

I inked my acrylic block with TH Distress Oxide Spiced Marmalade,
spritzed it with water then stamped it on my card stock.
The acrylic block I used was probably the first one I had ever purchased
and has a nice wavy edge to it.

Then I stamped my image (SU House of Haunts)
several times using the TH Stamp Platform.
I love that thing, so much I ordered a second one to put away
in case I do something stupid to my original one...that is how much I love it.
Also did you know that Tonic has agreed not to sell any more of these in the states
once the ones in store are sold out?
What a shame that is.

I ordered a new Halloween paper pad
'Pink & Main' Not Too Spooky
and used that for my background.
A pretty neat one as it has no Halloween images on it, just the colors!

Make sure to visit (and join in too) the
Back To Basics and Beyond Challenge blog to

Flying Witch

This is my post on the Cheapo Dies blog today:

Hi, Diane here filling in again  today with a fun
Halloween die 'Flying Witch'.

I used a glossy card stock and several  TH 'regular' Distress inks
 for the moon and background.

I added gue to the stars then sprinkled with a Tangerine glitter.

The tree kine along the bottom is a scrap of Halloween paper
and is actually very shimmery.

I just love how easy this die cuts and has such a perfect image!

Thank you for visiting with me today and be sure to stop back tomorrow
and every day for lots of inspiration using Cheapo Dies!!

Shoes

Time for a new challenge and a new 'mood board' at
Double D Challenges.
Our theme is 'If The Shoe Fits"
with the fun mood board below!!

Quite a lot to choose from that's for sure!!

One of the things
(I know I have mentioned this before...it's the old age thing..Repeat..lol)
is that by being on the fun challenge teams is I get to use
pretty much anything I want as long as I stay within the theme.
I love that, as then it gives me an opportunity to use my neglected stamps
and other supplies.

One of my stamps I have neglected and had for quite sometime
is this Crafters Companion Party Paws Party With Bamboo stamp set.
I know a lot of people say 'I don't like Panda's...not sure why
but I think she is the cutest thing!!

I colored her in with Copics and used a Stardust jelly roll pen
here and there for a bit of sparkle!

The butterfly (which I fussy cut) and the sentiment are all part of the stamp set.

I used a newly purchased paper for the background from an
Echo Park Summer Fun paper pack
and a scrap of a paper I had crimped and rejected for something else.

I kind of like how she turned out and was super excited I
actually got to use her!

If you would like to see some really FUN shoe cards,
make sure and pop on over to the Double D Challenge
and see all the different shoes the team has come up with....
you won't be  disappointed and of course there is always
a fun prize up for grabs!!

Pumpkin Frame

This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today.

Hello, Diane with you today.
Here we are only 4 days away from the first day of Fall.
Wow, our time does fly away doesn't it?

I have three cards today using the Pumpkin Frame die.

For the first card I used  pretty fall color designer papers,
both for the background and for the pumpkin frame.

I added a little square sentiment and adhered it to a Stitched Square die.
A flower and leaf to finish.

The second card I used more pretty designer papers and a bit of burlap paper.
Both banners are Tutti Designs Nesting Stitched Banners dies.
It even cut thru my burlap 'paper'!
A hemp bow and button were added for detail.

The last card I used a linen paper for the background,
a die cut and a simple sentiment with bow.

Sunflower Hi

Having some fun with my project on the
Sparkle N Sprinkle blog today.

Hi there, Diane with you today with a fun and pretty easy
what I am calling a 'seed packet'.

I started out making my own little kraft packet.
It measures approx. 8 1/4" x 3 3/4".
I scored at it at 2" and 6" to fold over to the back.
I ran adhesive down the back and across the bottom to hold it together,
then used a round punch at the top.
I also die a tag using a TH tag die.

I stamped the Sunflower Cheer  916 image on a wacky stitched rectangle,
ran my Anti Static Bag 99512 over it to take any static off,
then stamped with Versamark VM001
and embossed with Gold Detail EP168 embossing powder.

The image was colored in with Copics and
in the flower center I added Fall Leaves G1044 glitter.

For the inside of the packet I stamped the image again in Versamark VM001
but this time embossing with  Indian Corn EP119 embossing powder.

I added a strip of  1/4" Tear-ific Tape
This glitter is one of our newer colors and it is as yummy as it sounds!
I finished off the tag with a piece of ribbon.

Here is a list of the products I used and a direct link to the store....
