Celebrate Spring

New challenge starting at
The Sisterhood of Crafters and it is being hosted by
our 'sistah' Debbie.

She has chosen the theme of Celebrate Spring.

I used a cut little Cottage Cutz die Spring Bunny w/Flowers.
Once cut I did a bit of shading around the bunny with a gray Copic.
These dies come in several pieces so each piece can be cut separate.

I dug around in my 'blue' scrap bag of papers for the backgrounds.

I had a little fence die (I think it is Papertrey Ink) that I cut twice
and positioned behind the bunny.

The sentiment is Hampton Art/Graphic 45...
kind of perfect.

We would love to see YOUR Spring cards at
The Sisterhood...come take a pick at what the DT created!!

Egg Flower

This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today.

Hi Diane with you today with a pretty
Easter/Spring card using one of the newest Tutti Designs dies
Egg Flower.

Months ago I created a few panels using some of the
Color bursts and/or the Nuance powders.
That is what I cut the egg from.
I love the various fun colors.
The other parts of the die were cut form scrap pieces.
The butterfly I cut off the new

The background is die cut using
then embossed.

I love the bright and cheerfulness off this card!!

May Birthday

It's the day where
all the designers at
get together and show all our fabulous designs in ONE place!

This time we are using the super CUTE and very useful

I made mine into a pretty birthday card,
showing other ways to use this file
plus the fact I have a few 'May' birthdays!

Here is a close up of where I stamped the sentiment
in the place where 'notes' are to go.

I had intended to create a few more 'birthday' card months
but sadly my printer ink is low and I have a new
printer so didn't want to purchase more ink for my 'retiring' printer...
you all know how that goes!!

So pop in over and see all the amazing and beautiful work from the teams!!
Make sure to leave a comment there for your chance to win 3 files of your choice!

Kiss The Cook

Today at Double D challenges our theme is
'GINGHAM'.

We have a fun 'mood board' below to inspire you!

I LOVE gingham and have ever since I was a little girl.

I have pretty much blown through my gingham paper pack
but managed to find enough to make this cute little apron card with.

The background is embossed with a cuttlebug EB folder.
Once I stamped the apron image on the gingham paper
I fussy cut it out, stamped just the pocket and pieced it on.
I also added a twine bow and a little flower coming out of the pocket.

The sentiment is from a Bo Bunny stamp set.

The Design Teams have once again created some
awesome inspiration...make sure and go to
Double D and check it out...
and a cool prize to be had too!

Tomorrow is the first day of Spring

Bunny Scene die.

I simply die cut from white card stock,
then using Copics colored in a few flowers
and a tiny bit of color on the bunnies.
They were then layered using

Spring Daffodil

we have a new challenge theme started and it is
'One For The Ladies'
being hosted by our talented 'Sistah' Darlene.

I have a love for Daffodils and when I saw this adorable
Stampingbella tiny townie garden girl 'daffodil'
I just had to have her.

I die cut a Tutti Designs Scalloped Stitched oval,
then stamped her on that and used Copics to color her
I was a littl worried as I don't seem to have many different yellow Copics.
I added a pretty corner die cut, a few butterflies and some sequins.
I used a Cuttle bug EB folder.

Make sure and visit the challenge at The Sisterhood
as my 'sistahs' have lots of beautiful inspiration!

Tulip Panel

This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today.

Diane with you today with a gorgeous die
Tulip Window.
Isn't it pretty?
Even the butterfly is attached as part of the die.

Once I had it cut from white card stock,
I die cut it again from some papers I had made earlier
using either Nuance and/or Color Burst powders.
I simply snipped each tulip off and adhered to
the top of the white tulip panel
I did the same with the butterfly, though using a different color panel!
Then the entire piece was adhered to a
which framed it very nicely.

Turnabout Card

I have a new (to me) stamp set I purchased
after seeing it on another blog and was totally enabled
to buy it after seeing it!!

It is from Concord and 9th
and I could sit and play with it all day...love it!!

All that being said, I am using it for my Guest Design spot at
Addicted To Stamps .... after my Top 3 win for January challenge
fun~fun~fun!!
(thanks for having me)

This stamp set is a 'turnabout' wreath set....
it comes with two different main stamps, plus others...
basically you stamp with 4 different inks,
turning your paper once before the next ink color.

I LOVE this set, but it's a bit addicting!!
The ink colors I used for this one were all pastels from Dew Drop (Memento)
Dandelion~Angel Pink~New Sprout~Lulu Lavender.
The sentiment is from Stampendous Spring Sentiments.

This is the first card I did

Dew Drop inks were used for this as well
Rose Red~Lulu Lavender~Cantaloupe~New Sprout
The sentiment is from the same set mentioned above.

I can see myself using these over and over with various colors!!
They have several different turnabout sets to choose from....
I can see another shopping spree in the future!

Little Easter Village

I have a cute little Easter Village to show today
mostly made with die cuts.
I actually made this card for a DT I  'was' on
and decided to step down...
in fact I stepped down from two DT's
and feel very comfortable where I am at now...
I do have a new 'adventure' I will be sharing in the future...
stay tuned for that!!

So you recognize the background paper?
It's from a very OLD pack of SU 12 x 12...
I kind of like the whimsical sky.

Clouds are cut from Impression Obsession and then crimped.
Bunnies are IO as well.
The little village is from Yvonne
and the border is Lawn Fawn...
that's about it...

True Friends

I made this card for CAS(E) this sketch
and am getting it just under the wire..hopefully!

I just love these 3 little kitties and have used this stamp once before
but not for ages, so decided to pull it out.
It is from Alpha Stamps Three Little Kittens.

The sentiment is from Stampin Up Simple Friendship set.

Keeping this short as this challenge ends in less then 40 minutes...yikes!!

Popcorn Box

It's almost that time of the month again
when all The Cutting cafe designers get together on
The Cutting Cafe blog with all the creations in one place
making it so easy to see them ALL.
This time around we all used the 'POPCORN BOX' for our projects....
you should see all the fabulous ideas for this box...
showing you it can be used for more then just popcorn!!

For mine, I made an Easter/Spring box
and am taking to my SIL tomorrow that has Stage 4 Bladder cancer
and is now in hospice care...she is only 61.
My family has been hit hard with tragedy in the last year....
I hope she will enjoy it!

Here is a side view, showing a bit more of it's detail.
I used the SVG file to make mine and it took mere minutes....
there are several other cut files as well as a PDF....which I have below.

A close up of the goodies.

Here is one I made  for Father's Day (PDF version)...
so as you can see these boxes come in handy for more then just popcorn...
however, they also make wonderful
party favors for baby showers.....
with a cute little saying
'Look Who's About To 'POP'.....

Do make sure to visit The Cutting Cafe blog tomorrow (7th)
usually in the afternoon....(time difference then me)...
leave a comment there as you could win 3 free cut files of your choice!

Let's Make Some Music Challenge

Well here we are already into March
and that means Spring is just around the corner..woowho!!

It also means a new challenge over at
Double D Challenges and the theme is once again an easy one
'Let's Make Some Music'.

I have created the 'mood board' below to get us all inspired!!

Gosh I had so many ideas for this challenge
but ended up making this simple and super easy card to mail.

I embossed the background using an embossing folder
I have had forever.
The stamp is from Impression Obsession
and has been a favorite of mine
and is one that has actually seen ink before....
amazing!
It was simply stamped in black,
then just added some color to the Rose.
I added a bit of Stardust gelly roll pen to the Rose.

I framed with a 'new to me'
Paper Rose Stitched Rectangle Frame die.
I cut the frame from Recollections Sophia
metallic paper.

Make sure to visit at Double D
as the Design Team has created awesome
inspiration for you....
there also is a cute little prize...check it out!!

The Hunting Cabin

Time for a new challenge at Dies R Us challenge blog
and the theme is
One For The Men/Boys.

Grab our Badge!

I decided to make a hunting cabin scene...
though we are not the
'hunting' kind of family,
I know there are several that would appreciate this card.

I started out by inking a background using many different
Tim Holtz Distress inks:
 Carved Pumpkin~Peeled Paint~Faded Jeans~Broken China

Next to build my 'scene'
I used Impression Obsession Birch Trees
which I cut smaller for my card.
For the pine trees I used
Impression Obsession Evergreen Trees.
The cabin is Poppystamps Winter Cabin...
cute isn't it?

Of course it had to have a deer included and I used
Impression Obsession Small Deer

I didn't have any smaller 'duck' dies, but the duck from
Impression Obsession Sea Birds seemed to work
though slightly bigger then I had wanted...
hope he doesn't attack the deer lol!

Make sure and go to the Dies R Us challenge blog to see
all the other 'manly' inspiration from the Design Team.
