Earth Day

Today is my last guest design at
Word Art Wednesday Challenge blog
and I want to thank Karen and the team for having me,
it was such a pleasure.

Being today is 'Earth Day'
I made a 'green' card,
I kept the sentiment supplied by Karen as my main focus.

I had planned to use a black card stock for the background
but leaving the room for a few then coming back it
went completely out of my head, does that happen to you?
So, I ended up with the green card stock..oh well, it happens!

The patterned paper is from a favorite 6 x 6 pad of mine
by Carta Bella  'Botanical Garden'.
this is another gorgeous pad of paper.
I think I am addicted to pretty papers.
I used to sew and when I started card making
all the papers reminded me of the beautiful fabrics during my sewing days.

Anyhow, the greenery was die cut from a die I received from a friend.
She was moving and had to downsize all her paper crafting
and gifted me with two large Priority boxes of stamps and dies...
I was so thrilled and what a wonderful gift to receive.

The flower I made from my scrap bag of bits and bobs of pieces
I am trying to use up

Hope to see you at Word Art Wednesday where the challenge is always
anything goes!!

Yes, things fly out of my head like crazy, but I love the green on this, especially for Earth Day. Two boxes of stamps and dies? What a treat! Beautiful card, Diane!

LOVE all the green! I think the older I get the more I love that color! And your little yellow flower is perfect! I'm with you on being addicted to patterned paper ... egads I have so much and just keep buying more! Oh well ... what else can we do when we are stuck in the house? LOL You can only do so much cleaning! Right?

Yep, that happens to me all the time. I think it was lucky in your case because the white background gives this gorgeous card a lightness that works beautifully with the papers and elements and is a better match for the sentiment. All that said, This is such a pretty card!

Congrats on your craft haul! That must have been fun to dig through! and Thanks for joining us at Cut it Up for Our Beautiful Earth challenge!
