Butterflies Challenge

Wow, August already!  It seems the older you get the more time
just seems to pass you by.  A bit scary if you ask me.

Today we have a new challenge theme at
Double D Challenges
and it is BUTTERFLIES.

We have the pretty mood board to inspire you,
I know it sure did me,
so much so I was confused of what of my many butterfly supplies to use!

I finally decided to go somewhat CAS, it has been appealing a lot to me lately,
maybe because I can turn out a pretty quick card
without having to tax my brain too much,
that always helps when you have so much on your mind...right?

Not much explanation needed  as most can be seen what I did
just by looking.
Used Versamark and black EB powder on vellum
and added a bit of colors by coloring on the back with SU markers
that I have not used in years.
Once I had it colored, I carefully fussy cut it out.

The Sprig is from Rubber Stampede (2002)
and the butterfly is Stampabilities (1999)
The sentiment is Elizabeth Craft Designs.

This is such an easy themed challenge at Double D
that I hope you will join us...
don't forget to visit as the Design Teams have once again
created AWESOMENESS!!

Oh gosh, this is SO pretty! I have that same floral stamp and haven't used it in years but the colors look fabulous with that touch of orange/white gingham. I love that inspiring sentiment as well as that beautiful life-like butterfly!

Wow, you really got a beautiful color blend on that butterfly! It's gorgeous! I agree about how time flies and I think that goes hand in hand with how appealing CAS cards are these days. I still love to color, but am inclined to keep the designs simple. Love the mood board!

Such a lovely card, Dianne! The flowers are so delicate and allow the butterfly to take centre stage. The gingham ribbon is a great addition. Thanks so much for joining us at the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week. Take care! :)
