Sweet

We have a new challenge theme at Dies R Us and it is
SWEET!

Design Team Member At

A theme that really makes you think about what to create.
I chose the cake stained glass die from Tutti Designs
and did my fun glitter technique with it!

Pretty easy as all you do it die cut the stained glass frame,
add it to a sticky back paper
sprinkle with glitter, then color it in.
I have some tips for this below, just to make things easier!

I also used the Tutti Designs Lily heart panel, but covered it up with
my stained glass cake.
I die cut the word sweet 3 times, then stacked one on the other
just to give it a bit of oomph!

Some tips for doing this:
It is better to die cut a black frame as then when you color it
if it bleeds into the frame you are less likely to see it
(ask me how I know this)
I use Copics to color over the glitter, but you just 'dab' the color on as it spreads
itself in the glitter and start more on the inside
rather then the edge.
After coloring just 'wipe' any glitter you see off
by just swiping on a scrap piece of paper.
A (warm) fine glitter works best for this,
I used Cloud Nine glitter.

All the links are below and I added a link of ALL the
stained glass dies available as they are beautiful!

We have some exciting news to share with you.  Dies R Us now has a sister store with warehouses in the USA and Canada called Didi Crafts

It will ship to both the US and Canada.  Didi Crafts will carry some of the same products as DRU, but most will be different.  Now our Canadian friends don't have to worry about huge taxes or shipping fees. How great is that!?!

Your stained glass is amazing Diane! Thanks for sharing your tips on how you did this. I'll have to look through my dies to see if I have one that I can try this technique with. Thanks for the beautifully sweet inspiration!!
