Happiness

We have a new challenge starting today at
Can You Handle The Pressure
and as always it's an ANYTHING  GOES as long as you
use an embossing folder.
We also have a twist and this time it is GREEN!

I used a pretty Sizzix embossing folder and a stamped image from
Kaisercraft 'Whisper' stamp set.  The sentiment is from the same set.

Here is the embossing folder I used, such a pretty pattern
and I liked how well it worked with my fern stamp!

In the words of Kermit The Frog:

I hope you will join our challenge at
Can You Handle The Pressure
with our twist of GREEN!!

Thinking of You

I created this CAS card for the Memory Box challenge using
their pretty Long Stem Lavender die
and a sentiment from Pretty Pink Posh.
The challenge is either Thinking of You or Missing You.

I love lavender and grow it in what I call my 'kitchen' garden
which is just outside my kitchen slider, hoping the fragrance will
blow in with the breeze during the summer months, I try to add 2 or 3 plants every year

Secret Garden

Today is the start start of a new challenge theme at
The Sisterhood of Crafters
and our 'sistah' Vickie is the hostess
and she has chosen the theme of "Make Your Sentiment The Focus.

I did just that by using a sentiment stamp from Sparkle N Sprinkles
Secret Garden Stamp set stamped In Memento ink Morocco.
I added a pretty background paper from Mintay's Country Farm paper pad.
I also reached in my bag of white pre-cut die cutouts and pulled one
out from Cheery Lynn Designs to place across the bottom edge.

A glittery butterfly and three peach fuzz jewels were added to finish!
A super easy theme this time and to see more inspiration

Peace On earth Anything Christmas

Hi there, it's time for a new challenge at
Peace On Earth
and as usual it's an anything goes theme as long as it's Christmas!

We have an inspiration mood board with every challenge
as well, but you can create anything as long as it's Christmas themed!

Anything Christmas

I always always try to let the mood board inspire me and have to say
that this time I let the top 2 and bottom left inspire me to
create with an older and never before used stamp to get creative.
The stamp is from Heartfelt Creations and has been in my supplies for years and years,
Festive Yuletide Doorway!

I opted to just color in a few of the details and leave the rest snowy white.
I also added diamond Stickles to all the snowy areas
The Merry Christmas is a Cherry Lynn Designs die cut.
It's way more sparkly in real life!
It is a big 6x6 card.  I bought what I thought was
6x6 envelopes but it turned out to be card and envelope sets
so I used one of those for my card base
though it's not the 110# card stock I prefer,
it was large enough to hold the large stamp!

Won't you join us at Peace On Earth,
just think, that will put you way ahead for cards when the season rolls around again!!

Hooray It's Your Day

Decided to create a card for a challenge today
since it is a rainy/cold day what better place to be
then in my craft room, right?

I haven't joined in the Poppystamps challenges in eons so
when I saw the challenge this month, I thought why not join in!!

For my card I used the Poppystamps Floribunda Collage die,
die cutting it on white card stock and placing it over a pretty paper scrap.
I added a few black gems to some of the flowers and a sentiment from
The Greetery.
A pretty and simple card to mail and with the rise of mailing costs
simple is always better these days!

Double D Handles Challenge

It's a new challenge theme at Double D and the theme is
HANDLES!

We want to see anything that has a handle
and have a mood board for some idea and inspiration!

I created my card using an older stamp in my stash from JustRite
Floral Basket stamp set.

I embossed with Versamark and fine gold embossing powder
from Sparkle N Sprinkle.
The image was stamped on a Spellbinders Hemstitch oval
then colored in with Copics.
The sentiment is part of the set.
The background paper is from a very old pad of
Kaiser Craft Flora Delight.
It is my goal this year to try and use up some of my older papers,
one sheet at a time!

The funny thing about when I bought this set, it came with nine fabulous
sentiments, but one of them is spelled wrong.
They spelled the Thinking of you with two n's, so it is not useable.
I find it odd that someone didn't spot that as I spotted it right off.

Take a peek at all the other 'handle' creations from the fabulous
Double D design team and join in with us while there!

Good Luck

We are into our second challenge for the month of MARCH
at Dies R Us
and it is an ANYTHING GOES theme.

I created a celebrate card with a fun horseshoe die from Cheapo dies.
I have mentioned before about these dies hat are no longer being
made but I love each and every one and if you want one get them now
as once out of stock they are forever gone!

My horseshoe was cut from a Tonic Gold Metallic paper.
The embellishment (which is part of the die set)
was die cut with white card stock and colored with markers.

For my background I used another favorite nesting die
Tutti Designs Stitched Postage Nesting die.
The celebrate sentiment is a Tutti Designs
but I don't see it in store anymore so I have given a link
for the category 'celebrate'!
All links are given below the card!

Tutti Designs Stitched Postage Nesting Set
Tutti Designs Word Set Celebrate

I have a bit of info about the horseshoe as some like to hang it
in different ways and this explains both

While the horseshoe is recognized by many as a symbol of good luck, there is no consensus on the right position to hang the horseshoe to solicit or share that good luck. Some feel it's best hung open-end up to collect luck, while others hang it open-end down to share the luck with others. Generally it is best to hang the horseshoe above an entry door outside, on a barn wall or even on an interior wall as both decor and a good luck charm. Used horseshoes are deemed by some to draw the most luck.

We would love to have you join us at the Dies R Us challenge!!
Take a peek at all the inspiration from the Design Team while there!

For your convenience, all the important Dies R Us links are provided below.

Dies R Us now has a sister store with warehouses in the USA and Canada called Didi Crafts.

It will ship to both the US and Canada.  Didi Crafts will carry some of the same products as DRU, but most will be different.  Now our Canadian friends don't have to worry about huge taxes or shipping fees. How great is that!?!

Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge March Reminder

We are half way through our challenge at
Two Old Bats and would love to have YOU join us!

The theme is always anything goes as long as it is
HALLOWEEN!

There is a mood board just to inspire too!

For my card I once again let my designer paper do all the work.
Last year I purchased a couple new pads of  Halloween paper
and this is from the Brutus Monroe Happy Haunting Collection
and printed right here in the good old US of A!

I adhered it to a black card stock base and added a stamped
Oct 31st stamp to the front, an easy mailer for sure.

Have some fun with Halloween in March and join our at
Two Old Bats!!

CAS Birthday Card

Today I needed something to get my old mojo going and I saw this cute sketch
at AAA Cards Challenge and thought it might get me motivated!

I have a friend that is always looking for simple, easy to mail cards she buys from me
and thought this might be just what she is looking for!

I used a couple of new, just purchased things for this card
The TH Oxide new Saltwater Taffy ink and a TH new mini stencil.
The butterfly is an OLD SU stamp from 2004.

You need to visit this challenge site as the Design Team has created some
awesome inspiring samples to see!

Well, lets hope this will inspire me to get busy as I have a lot of
DT work I am trying to get done ahead for the summer months!

Happy St Patrick's Day

It's the second Saturday of the month and that means it' s a new challenge
at Can You Handle The Pressure?
As always it's an anything goes challenge using embossing folders
as your focus and with a twist and this time the twist is
PLAIDS!
So add a plaid to you project or not, it's up tp you.

I went with the plaid twist and used an older embossing folder
which I have used before but not for quite a while!

To that I added a shamrock die cut, a die I received as a prize
from the Snippet Playground and die cut it, yep you guessed it.
also from a 'plaid' paper!
The sentiment was computer generated!

I hope you visit our fun new challenge at
Can You Handle The Pressure,
join in with us, and
see all the pretties the Design Team has to offer!

Whateva

Hello friends, today I have a super easy CAS card
with one layer and one word!

I have had this 'whateva' word stamp from Unity in my
stash and never used before for a very LONG time!
It was stamped with Simon's Pawsitively  Mandarin ink.

I added a bit of sparkle to the swirls using a Sakura Clear star gelly roll pen.
It's very CAS which makes it an easy mailer, that I love!

Everybunny

Today at The Sisterhood of Crafters our  'sistah' Ina is our hostess
and she has chosen the theme of to use An Old Neglected Stamp!
I have to admit I have plenty of those to choose from and decided on
this old LaBalanche stamp.
Not sure of how old, but have maybe had it 8 to 10 years and not even sure if they
still make them anymore, though Etsy has this particular stamp on for $6.50!

I think I purchased this  stamp manly because it has
daffodils on it and they are my very favorite flowers!

I stamped it with Hero Arts black India ink
then just colored it in here and there with Copics.

A friend sent me two boxes of stamps and dies last year
and the Tim Holtz Alterations die I used to cut the image with
was in one of those boxes!
The paper I used is some I have had quite awhile too
from Wild Rose Studio Anabelle's Garden.
The sentiment is Stampendus Spring Sentiments.

To see even more fun OLD neglected stamps used by my 'sistahs',
then pop on over and visit The Sisterhood!

Peace On Earth Anything Christmas

Hello Friends, today is our first challenge for the month of March
at Peace On Earth!

I have created this fun mood board for inspiration
but our theme is always anything goes as long as it is CHRISTMAS!

Anything Christmas

I normally try to use the board myself for inspiration
and I think you see right off that let the upper right corner inspire me!

I purchased this adorably cute die from Cottage Cutz when they had
one of their terrific sales they have.
Its's Holiday Truck With Puppies.

I dug in my scrap bags that are sorted by color for my die cuts.
I have to say this die was a lot of tedious work and took me an
entire afternoon to complete.  I guess I must be slow but those noses on the
four pups and large dog I seemed to get stuck anywhere but were they belonged!

The cute puppy designer paper and sentiment tag are from
Recollections Happy Pawlidays 6x6 pad of paper.
There is a lot of detail on this die set, but it sure turned out cute!

Won't you join us at Peace On Earth at our challenge?
Just think how far ahead you will be on your holiday cards
once the big day rolls around again
and it seems to sneak up on us faster then you think!

Mardi Gras Jester hat

It's a new monthly challenge at
Paper Dragonfly Creative Challenges and our theme is
MARDI GRAS!

I created a fun jester hat card using my Cricut!
After cutting and putting together all the pieces I decided
I needed to add a bit more, a few sequins were added to the hat ends
and a Cricut cut dragonfly for luck!

I cut the wings from vellum and added him to the hat.
The paper underneath is actually a Brutus Monroe Halloween paper
of all candy, but the colors worked perfectly and after all don't they throw
candy at the Mardi Gras parade?

I hope you will join us at Paper Dragonfly Creative challenges with your
own Mardi Gras fun!!

Gorgeous Green Challenge

For the month of March our color is GREEN
at Colorful Options
and we have a green mood board just to inspire!

I had a lot of fun with this card using one of the awesome
concord & 9th turnabout stamps.
This one is the wreath turnabout stamp set and of course I had to re-watch
the video on it to remember how to do it.

I used Altenew Green Valley ink set which includes
Firefly~Grass Field~Shadow Creek~ and Mountain Pine inks
perfect since you have to stamp this four times in four colors!

You can join us at Color Options with YOUR green card or there is always
the 'option' of using your rainbow colors!

Double D Challenge~Pockets

Hello friends!
Today at Double D Challenges we have a fun new theme
and a fun new mood board to go along with it!
Our theme is pockets!
Any kind of pocket will do and here is our mood board for your inspiration!

A long while back I purchased this fun stamp  Pocket Full of Love and die set from Honey Bee stamps
after seeing another design team member using it and knew I had to have it!
This set is being retired so though I have given the links it might have sold out
by the time this posts!
I also used the Stacking Pockets to cut my card in a pocket shape.
This stamp and die set is loaded with stamps and dies to create
many different variations of cards, add the stacking pockets die to the mix
and you can really have fun mixing and matching this set!

The flowers on my card were cut using scraps and a die from Cottage Cutz,
everything else you see is part of the stamp set from Honey Bee.

I hope you will join us at Double D and you must see all the
pretty and fun pockets from the team, we also have a fun pocket prize to give away!

Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge March

We are into March already and that means it's time for a new challenge at
Two Old Bats
to start for the month and our theme as always
is anything goes as long as it is Halloween!

I have this fun mood board just to give you a bit of inspiration!

I did a pretty simple card making my designer paper from DCWV
called the Midnight Spell form 2010, 12 years old, guess it's a good time to
put it to use, right?

I used a couple Martha Stewart Halloween punches, the flying witch and black cat.
the sentiment was added to finish out the card, pretty easy peasy

We would love to have you join us for our year round
Halloween challenge at Two Old Bats,
with 50 or more players there is always a prize up for grabs!

Cheers

Happy March 1st and CHEERS!
A new month means a new challenge at
Dies R Us and our theme for the month of March is
ANYTHING GOES!

Being March and being it's a few weeks before St. Patricks Day
I created a fun St Patty's day card!

I started with some fun Lots of Luck paper from Doodlebug design
and using Tutti Designs Stitched Postage Nesting dies I
die cut 3 different size layers.
The cute little beer mug is a Cheapo Designs die
and the sentiment of Cheers is a Karen Burniston die.
I cut it 3 times, twice in black and once in a gold metallic.
All links are given below the card.

Thank you for visiting with me today!

Four Seasons March~Anything Goes Spring

We are into March and that brings us to our first
season of Spring at our Four Seasons Challenge!
March can be a sweet as can be here in Michigan
OR it can come in like a lion as they say with cold, wet and snow!
I am hoping for an early warmth!

We have a Spring mood board for inspiration
but you can create anything you want as long as it is SPRING themed!

Last Spring I purchased this beautiful Crocus stamp and die set by Waffle Flower.
This is the first time I have used it, better known as
NBUS (never before used schtuff).

I colored it with Copics though I didn't have the purples I had wanted
(I can see a Copic shopping spree coming up) but had to make do
with what I had.

The designer papers used are from The Paper Boutique Bumble Bee Dance.
I love the combo of lavenders and yellows together.
I also added a few lavender gems from Pink Fresh
