Scalloped Punch Cards & Peace!!

While cruising thru my NEW Stampin' Up catalog I noticed some neat flowers with scalloped edges......I figured they must of been made with the scallop edge punch.... grabbed some paper and gave it a whirl!  The first flower I did, I did from memory of the picture and I thought they had scored inbetween each scallop and then down the center of each scallop, before I did the second flower, I looked at the photo again, and noticed they only scored inbetween...NOT in the centers...and it was much less work, and much less folding doing it that way, and I actually like the smaller flower better with the less folds!

First flower I used some paper.... 12 x 12.... that I have had for quite awhile, cut a strip, scored and folded...a fast card, that looks so pretty!!

Second card I used some retired SU Designer paper, cut the strip more narrow then the first flower, I also used the paper and cut a strip of a banner ...I have been seeing these various little banners on other blogs and really like them!  For the card itself, I used my new SU In Color Poppy Parade...wow...do I LOVE this new color!!

Last card was for a granddaughters birthday...she is in love with anything with a peace sign, I purchased this paper and stickers about 3 months ago...her birthday was yesterday, and I put the card together yesterday...see how I am...always putting pressure on myself!!

Thats it for today I think...unless I do some challenges...I appreciate the nice comments!!!

HOOT HOOT~Owl Punch Card

Wow...its been over 8 days since I posted last...and me, whom usually posts daily...its summer, its busy, what can I say.....we were on vacation, got home to dry and weedy gardens, dusty house......so have been busy with all that boring and not so fun stuff!
Yesterday while I was weeding the UPS man showed up with my Stampin' Up! order.......what fun...new papers, new punches, new stamps...well some anyhow, not alot (have to watch my budget)...but enough to make me "happy"!!!
In the box was the new "owl" punch.....what a lot of fun this is going to be.....you will see this guy show up here and there over the next few weeks!  And look at him......all you see on him is on one punch!!!  Fun....also the cardstock I used is a new color "Daffodil Delight"...love the brightness of it....the background paper you see I used for my "photo shoot" is the new "Gala Greenhouse"...so pretty!  The ribbon is some I picked up at a garage sale for 10 cents.....25 yards of it...so it will show up for Halloween, I am sure!!!

I will be back with more tomorrow......have some neat stuff I have just started working on.....two birthdays...two so very different cards..also have some neat flowers from my garden to show you!!  See you later or tomorrow!!

Summer Heat = Summer Flowers = You Have To Smile

Geez oh' Pete its it hot out!!!  My poor flower gardens are suffering......thought I would make them "Smile"...what else can they do.....hopefully rain tomorrow!
I used the Stampin' Up! Extra Large Fancy Flower punch and a 1 1/4" circle punch for these flowers...I embossed both the flowers and the centers on cord-in-nations paper and sanded them....love the ribbon...one of my clearance finds somewhere........see you tomorrow, maybe!!  Stay cool!!!.

There is a new Challenge Blog called "More Paper Than Shoes".......the first challenge is for the month of July  to make a tag...add some vintage....add a stamp that is popped up.....easy peasy!!  Because its July~because its almost July 4th~because I LOVE making tags~and because I LOVE my Freedom~I chose to make a 4th of July tag.
I cut two different size stars with my Cricut....covered the bottom one with vintage music, stamped with TH Distress Ink on the second star and added the vintage Bethany Lowe tinsel trim (purchased on Ebay)...its a smaller tag......but I love it just the same!   Go visit this neat new blog and give the challenge a try.......there also is a new forum in the works.....I'll post the link for that soon...you will LOVE it......new~exciting~and fun!!!

New Month~New Goals~New Card

Happy July One!!!!   I  am happy to see June behind me, it wasn't the best, so on to a new month...a new month of goals for me.....one is to do at least one scrapbook page a week and finish one a week that I have partly done...that can't be too difficult...we'll see!
Do you have alot of unfinished projects, something you started and it wasn't "going anywhere" so you set it aside to finish later??  I have a drawer full of such things...so this morning as I was working on another project (and set it aside as it wasn't going well...lol)...I decided to open the drawer and pull something out and "finish" it!!  I pulled out this card from last year..it has a bunch of layers....I left all sentiments off,so it can be used for any occasion.....one done.....a drawer full to complete!!

On another note.....I have another blog...I have neglected it for quite sometime...but "brought it back to life" yesterday...if you would like to  visit its Nellie Doodle Cottage   a totally different blog from this one...I was using it to sell some of my creations~vintage finds and etc.....it's back up and running.....hope to have a few of my linen dolls I make on it this month...see you tomorrow...I hope!!
