Susan's Gardens Dahlia

This is my post at the Classy Cards 'n Such blog today
and my card I made for the Susan's Garden Flower Challenge.
I hope you will join us in the challenge there.
The prize is a Susan's Garden mini daisy die!
I also am giving away a Susan's Flower die, right here on my own blog
if you would like to sign up!!

Hello Friends,
This week at Classy Cards 'n Such our challenge is to use a
Now, the only challenge for me, was deciding which one to use!
Being the "gardener" I am, I seem to have acquired quite a collection of them.
After much debate, I chose the Dahlia
I grow these gorgeous flowers myself and one of the best things about them,
besides their beauty, are all the colors they bloom in!

To start my card, I used a paper called "Banana Split -  Pop Tone".
I had been searching for a pretty, high quality yellow card stock and this one is it!!

My next layer was made using the Polynesian Sails Doily Angel Wing.
I embossed it with a gorgeous new "in store" EB folder "Matelasse by Anna Griffin"
On top of that, my next layer is the Polynesian Sails Oval die.
Both of these dies are Cheery Lynn Designs and are on sale right now...
hurry and get yours before they are gone!!

My Susan's Garden flower was made with the same
I bet you couldn't tell, could you??

I used PanPastels Flower Coloring Kit - Susan's Garden...
applied with Soft Covers No.4  to give my Dahlia  the yellow/orange tones you see.
In making these flowers I used some very handy tools,
this is a must have for making any kind of flowers, a wonderful investment!

Last is my little butterfly made with a just purchased Joy die "Butterfly Trio".

I hope you have enjoyed my post today......
I am looking forward to seeing "your" entry in the "Susan's Garden" flower challenge!!!

I am entering this in the following challenges:

Die Cut Diva's .... Emboss It
and Cuttin and Stampin .... Butterflies are Buzzing
and
Sweet Stamps .... Spring Flowers
and

Wow! Flipping out over this one! Maybe because it reminds me of our cheery yellow and white house, but probably just because it's so incredibly gorgeous with the to-die-for schtuff you used on it! Love the dies and embossing and amazing Pan Pastels colored flower! Sooooo pretty!
