I Miss You

It is so COLD here I pretty much stayed in my creative room and worked
on a few things. I had a "free" day from DT postings and drug out a bunch
of OLD stash to put together this card.

I have a lot and I mean a lot of SU card stock in various gorgeous colors
but seem to use more of the neutrals for my card bases.
So, one of my many "paper crafting: New Years Resolutions is to
use more colored card stock.  Of course you know what will happen
as I use it up don't you?
Yes, I will just replenish with more..lol!

Today's card base was using Orchard Opulence.
The designer paper you see I think is older then me...lol
not really, but it has been around a long time,
way back from my scrapbook days I am sure!
(One of these days, you will see me do a few pages of those)
The pansy image was water colored on glossy card stock
about 5 years ago I think.

Yes, I am digging in my stash, trying to make the old look new!
Wonder if that could work for me...I highly doubt it..LOL!

I purposely made this card for the sketch challenge at Mojo Monday.
I think it is going to a friend that has moved away (I hope she doesn't read this)

This card is being entered in the following challenges:
Mojo Monday Sketch 379 ....sketch below

and
NBUS Challenge ....DS paper and stamp

Such a pretty creation Diane and in my favorite color too! LOVE that background embossing (need THAT folder, lol) and I too need to start using more of my colored cardstock for card bases.
Stay warm ... cold here too and more snow on the way over the next few days! Sounds like a good time to get creative in the cave! LOL

You water colored on glossy paper? Wow! It turned out so beautiful! Your coloring is fabulous! Orchid Opulence is actually one of my favorite SU! colors. You are a woman after my own heart getting out all this old stuff. The flower-sprigged paper is darling!

You did a marvelous job designing your card around the sketch, Diane! That is such a cool e/f and, once again, fantastic use of the patterned paper which goes so well with your stunningly colored pansy! I have the same colored paper problem in the Playhouse, so this is another inspiration post for me! Thank you for that and for playing again in my NBUS Challenge #3!! Hugs, Darnell
