Perfect Picnic!

It's already time for a new challenge at "The Sisterhood of Crafters"
and my "sistah" Terri is our hostess this time around and
she has chosen the theme of  "Goin' Buggy"!
I have to admit
as soon as I read the title my first thought was "Amish buggies".....
I guess that is what happens when you live in "Amish" country..lol!

However, I had a ball making my card for this challenge.
One thing about being on "The Sisterhood" design team
you can create anything you want, with whatever you want,
as long as you stick to the theme!
This gives me a great opportunity to use some of those "older"
things in my stash...I love that!!

Years ago, I had purchased a Longaberger basket stamp from Ebay.
The stamp is dated 2002....
so I decided to make it a picnic basket....
funny thing is, I had just bought a picnic basket die a few weeks ago....
forgot I even had it, until after I had this one stamped and fussy cut out....
oh well, I really think this one is cute, too!

I used a Papertrey gingham stamp and die I have had forever
for my picnic cloth!

Next came the ants.
Do you remember the QuicKutz hand held "squeeze" cutter??
Well, funny story is how I got mine.....
One year the hubby got the bright idea that we shouldn't buy
each other Christmas gifts until AFTER Christmas and we would go shopping
together to get what we really wanted.
Good idea...NOT!!
Now I know Christmas isn't about the gift giving...but hey I was brought  up
with the idea of giving gifts (and receiving) since I was born
(we won't mention how long that is)....
and to not have a gift on Christmas morning...oh my...I pouted for days!!

But, the point of my story is, we went to the scrapbook store and I purchased
my QuicKutz die cutter and these little ants were one of my first dies for it!
Why?  Heck I don't know, maybe they didn't have a lot to choose from...LOL.
Well, anywho...we never will do that stupid "bright idea" of his again....
husbands can learn some things!!!!

I used another older die for my tree and my newer stitched hills dies,
along with snippets of papers from my scrap bins.

I think this card turned out kind of cute...
one of those cards that just makes me "happy"!!

Now head on over to "The Sisterhood" and see what my "sistahs"
have created to inspire you!
Looking forward to seeing your "buggy" cards (not Amish)!!!
