Little Dancer In A Tea Cup

Time for a new challenge at The Shabby Tea Room!
Using the inspiration photo below our theme is
'HOLIDAY SPARKLE'

This time around our Sponsor is Dies R Us.
Just by entering the challenge you could win a gift certificate to shop with!!

I had an idea for this card as soon as I saw the photo inspiration
and it just so happened that I was placing an order to Dies R Us,
and it just so happened he had new releases and this tiny little dancer
was one of them.....
now that is what I call "meant to be"..LOL

Here is the link for the little ballerina:  Frantic Stamper Ballerina.
I cut her twice, once for her body and then a glitter paper for her tutu.

I cut my cup on my Cricut Explore, then embossed.
It actually was trial cut as I wasn't sure  of the size I wanted,
but it was perfect, but it was too "white"
so I sponged Distress ink over the embossing..much better!

I used a metallic paper and the same embossing folder for the backgound.
Next came the doily.
Looks like the real thing eh?
I remember when these doily dies first started coming out
and I was so excited to be able to cut my own.

I used one of the dies from Sue Wilson Designs Winter Trees,
then coated it with glue, then Spun Sugar glitter.
A few gun metal pearls were added to it.

The little tinsel snippet was laying on my desk from a previous project
and it seemed perfect to use for the cup.

The tiny little word "Joy" Elizabeth Crafts Designs Joy
was cut first from craft foam,
then from a glitter snippet
(I keep every tiny little piece of my glitter paper for things like this...
I need "hoarder control here..lol)

I added a tiny piece of velvet ribbon (last piece)
and a Rose for a band around the cup.

Take a little trip over to The Shabby Tea Room and see what the other
"shabby girls" have to inspire you with...see you there!

Could you have gotten this any more perfect? Sheesh! It looks just like the photo! I'm a scrap hoarder, too. You never know when you're going to need that tiny piece. This is so adorable, Diane, and so fun and different for a Christmas card. I love it!
