For You Mom

As I am writing this up, it is warming up outside today,
I might just be able to work in my gardens today..we'll see!

I saw a few challenges I wanted to play in and came up with
this pretty CAS card.
I might give this card to my Mom this year,
not sure as I usually make a pretty fancy one for her,
but yellow is her favorite color.

Speaking of favorites,
this die by Memory Box Butterfly Collage is one of mine!
It cuts a negative and makes for an easy card
and always so different just depending on what papers
or inks you place under it.
A great die to use for those distress inks.

I used this pretty scrap of paper from SU
all white, green, orange and yellow..full of Springtime goodness!

The sentiment is from an older Gina K Designs set
'Notes To Mom' (2009).
The entire set is all sentiments about Mom,
I have used it over and over,
and the sentiments will even work inside as well.
I have to admit, I had to stop myself from adding a few sequins
here and there for some 'sparkle', but I resisted, keeping it CAS!

Entering this card into the following challenges:
Mod Squad .... Simply Clean
Cards In Envy .... Get Negative
CAS on Friday .... Mother's Day
Watercooler Wednesday .... All About Occasions

I'd venture a guess your mom will just love this! I certainly do, with its colors of yellow, orange, and green which just happen to be my favorite citrusy combo. Put that with these pretty butterflies and you've got one gorgeous card! I also love that it's CAS. I'm drawn to CAS, yet I hardly ever do it myself, sigh. I need to work on that.

Well, in my opinion, your Mom would love it. It is gorgeous with those butterflies flitting across the panel and with those wonderful colors. I really like that and I have a die like that or similar too. Great idea on how to use it.

Well, Diane, you're lucky that you might be working in your garden. With the snow still on the ground here, gardening is unlikely for the moment. What an absolutely lovely card you've created for your Mom. Those butterflies are stunning with the lovely yellows, oranges and bits of green showing through from the Designer Paper. With or without the additional sequins, this is a card which would make any mother's heart swell with love. Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.
