The Hunting Cabin

Time for a new challenge at Dies R Us challenge blog
and the theme is
One For The Men/Boys.

I decided to make a hunting cabin scene...
though we are not the
'hunting' kind of family,
I know there are several that would appreciate this card.

I started out by inking a background using many different
Tim Holtz Distress inks:
 Carved Pumpkin~Peeled Paint~Faded Jeans~Broken China

Next to build my 'scene'
I used Impression Obsession Birch Trees
which I cut smaller for my card.
For the pine trees I used
Impression Obsession Evergreen Trees.
The cabin is Poppystamps Winter Cabin...
cute isn't it?

Of course it had to have a deer included and I used
Impression Obsession Small Deer

I didn't have any smaller 'duck' dies, but the duck from
Impression Obsession Sea Birds seemed to work
though slightly bigger then I had wanted...
hope he doesn't attack the deer lol!

Make sure and go to the Dies R Us challenge blog to see
all the other 'manly' inspiration from the Design Team.

It's beautiful and such a lovely scene... I prefer to see the deer upright and breathing too ... Can never understand how someone can get pleasure out of killing a beautiful living thing?
Happy March... I hope you are staying warm and safe... I'm amazed at your F/B photos of the snow... Yikes!

Wow Diane, this is just perfect inspiration for a masculine card. Your little scene is fabulous! Your comment about the duck attacking the deer cracked me up when I had a mouthfull of coffee. Thanks for the chuckle while I clean off my keyboard. ;0)

You can probably figure that I'm not a hunting kind of soul, but I LOVE a cabin in the woods. You made me laugh about the duck attacking the deer. Fun to see all these different toys, er, dies. I want to be there in our motorhome!

Wow, Diane! You have captured all the essence of camping in the wilderness. Not sure how you did it, but you've even depicted morning, noon and night times! Your collage is stunning, and the colors so rich! Beautifully done! hugs, de
