It's back to school time at Dies R Us Challenges,
at least that is what our theme is,
who knows if back to school will even happen here this year!!
When I was growing up a few weeks before the start of school
my Mom always took us school shopping
and though we didn't get but a couple of outfits each we always
looked forward to it and especially loved picking out our school supplies.
so that is how my card came about....a back to school dress.
I used the Frantic Stamper A2 Card Maker in a different way,
normally the dress IS the card.
After our shopping was done we would stop on the way home at a
local farm and get a bushel of apples.
I thought it would be fun to add a bushel of apples and fall leaves
to my dress using Impression Obsession Bushel of Apple and
Small Leaves set.
I think I will use this card for a great Fall birthday!
We would love to see YOUR Back To School creations!
Make sure and visit the Dies R Us Challenge blog
to see all the fun inspiration there!!
Dies R Us now has a sister store with warehouses in the USA and Canada called Didi Crafts.
It will ship to both the US and Canada. Didi Crafts will carry some of the same products as DRU, but most will be different. Now our Canadian friends don't have to worry about huge taxes or shipping fees. How great is that!?!

Adorable card.
What a divine trip down memory lane Diane! My recollections of school shopping are much the same as yours. Your red plaid back to school jumper is genius and I love the apples and leaves tucked in to the pockets. So cute!!!
So so cute!! Love the dress in plaid and the apple in the pocket!! Such a darling cute card...love it!!
An absolutely perfect Fall Dress for the first day of school! Don't you wish the little girls still wore dresses like this to school! I love the basket of apples, the plaid paper and your embossed background!
So clever! Love the plaid dress and the little Fall embellishments. Perfect for a Fall birthday.
That is such a cute design and it reminds me of a dress I wore to school as well. In fact, my Mom dressed my sister and I alike. We weren't twins but she was so much taller that she was the same size as me who was two years older. So lots of times people thought we were. My Mom dressed us alike as it was cheaper to buy the fabric from one bolt instead of getting two different fabric designs. My folks did not have a lot of money. Anyway, I love this card.
OMG! This is so, so cool! Yep, we went school shopping too. Always had to get new 'under garments', shoes and a new outfit for the 1st day. Fond memories! Your card is totally adorable and I remember having a plaid 'jumper' like this! Well done girlie and how cute is that basket of apples ... SO COOL!
Adorable! I had a dress just like that when I was in grade school!
Oh, gosh, this is CUTE! I've had so much fun with this dress, but I've never thought to do anything other than the kitchen stuff. I love how you dressed up the dress!! We went school clothes shopping for shoes and underwear and coats, but Mom made all my dresses and they were so pretty. That was when I was younger, of course. She'd tie my sash in the back and say "you're my little blue bird today", or brown bird, or yellow bird, whatever. Those are some of my fondest memories. Thanks, Diane.
What a wonderful trip down memory lane. I rember similar experiences. Then I also rember turning 13 and my mother gave me my share of the budget and let me do my own shopping after she reminded me I would need socks and underware to come out of the budget. I felt so grown up and learned to choose what I bought wisely. Fun card.
This is SO adorable! I love how you created that cute little dress to represent going back to school.
