Beautiful Day

This month at Double D we are doing something a bit different
by adding an extra challenge featuring all ALTENEW products!

Our blog was asked to join in an Ultimate Blog Hop with
Altenew
and several other fabulous challenges, what an honor!

For one of my cards I chose to use the pretty
Build A Flower Chrysanthemum and matching die.
This set is a layering flower stamp set, so easy to line up
using 4 different colors of inks for the flowers and three colors for the leaves.

My colors for the flower came from the Golden Sunset ink cubes
and the leaves from the Green Fields ink cubes.
These are perfect sets for layering flowers and leaves as
the inks run from light to dark.  The Green Fields inks have three different
green inks and a permanent black ink.

The background for this card was an Altenew background stencil
Leaves and Berries.

The sentiment is from the Beautiful Day stamp set.
I added a few gems for sparkle!

For my second card I used the Altenew stamp and die set
Sparkled!

I started out with some Altenew paper for the background Sweet Moments paper pack.
I stamped the front flower using Red Sunset ink cubes and Golden Sunset cubes
for the flower center..
For the second flower I used Golden Sunset but this time didn't stamp
the centers as I knew I would be covering it up anyhow,
but I stamped the second flower layer with Versamark and an embossing powder and the third layer
again with Versmark then added a glitter embossing powder for some sparkle.
It really has a lot of shine IRL!
The leaves were stamped with Green Valley ink cubes.
The sentiment is part of the Sparkled stamp set.
Of course I had to add a few gems for more sparkle!

To see even more beautiful Altenew inspiration
head on over to the Double D blog and see what the Design Team has to
show you, join in with us and with the Altenew Ultimate challenge
as they have a great prize to be won!

Please keep in mind that our normal two challenges
(1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month)
will also still be running as usual,
this hop is just an extra fun one for the month of August!
