Fruit Basket

Here we are in the middle of August already and that means
all our produce and fruits are ready to harvest!

That brings us to our new challenge theme at Double D
which just so happens to be FRUITS AND VEGETABLES!

We have a colorful fruit and veggie mood board to give you some inspiration!

I have a habit of ordering new stamps/dies just for our challenges
(a good excuse to shop, eh?)

I did order the basket specifically for this challenge,
it is a layered basket stamp/die from Sunny Studios
that I stamped with Altenew inks Vanilla Cream~Hazelnut~Almond Butter~Milk Chocolate
in that order.
I know I will get lots of use from this set and really like how it layered!

The fruits are also a first time use that I have had for quite some time
and this is the first I have used them, they are from Yvonne Creations.  All were colored in with Copics.
The background paper is a newly required pad of Prima 'Fruit Paradise',
I love the vintage 'feel' of it.

Make sure to pop on over to the Double D challenge blog and see all
the fabulous designs from the design teams, amazing as always!

Oh, my, the basket looks real and the fruit delicious! What a great die set! Love how your arrangement pops on the black in the middle of that most fabulous paper. I've been sorting through my papers. Took each pad out and culled the sheets I don't care for. It gave me enough space to fit the overflow into the bins. I fell in love with my papers all over again and can't wait to use them!

Great job on this, Diane. Your purchases were spot on. Beautiful card. I know that paper, I have that A4 pad. If I get a chance to play, I'm thinking of using the gorgeous apple blossoms paper and some apple stamps I have. xoxo

Great background paper. The bit of black behind the basket really makes the basket of fruit pop. Well done.

My mouth was watering with that list of Altenew inks, and then there is the wonderful real-looking fruit in that basket. Love the black background and the designers vintage paper. A winner for sure.
