It's All About The Birds

Time for a new challenge theme at
Double D Challenges and our theme is:

BIRDS - NESTS - BIRDHOUSES/CAGES

We have a fun mood board for inspiration
but you can create anything as long as you use
one of the themes mentioned above!

Long ago I made a card using a Cottage Cutz Bird Trio die
(which just so happens to be our prize for this challenge)
and saved the 'negative' part of the die.
That is what I used for this card and by placing it on a piece of scrap (snippet)
paper I was able to achieve getting a small heart showing on each bird!
The heart background paper I found in my bag of red scraps and seemed
the perfect choice to show off my birds!
I heat embossed a sentiment from
Altenew Sentiment Strips 2.

Make sure to visit the Double D Challenge blog and see all the
beautiful inspiration from our very talented team...join in with us too!!

What a beautiful card with all the hearts and how smart of you to use the negative cut ... looks awesome! Don't you love it when you can get a twofer from one die cut! Awesome inspiration!

You have a great eye to have saved this negative for future use. I love the hearts that you placed on each bird. Repeating the hearts in the background was a very nice touch and makes this card Sublime.
Btw, please remind me, as I am not perfect. This one almost got away.

What a sweet card using the same die that we're giving away as a prize. Your card is a prize in itself! What a great use of the negative part of the die too. Delightful, Diane!

Oh, well, for heaven's sake! I have this die and have never thought to use the negative. How could I not notice that? I love it both ways. Those little hearts are adorable on each bird. I will have to get this die out again. So pretty! I'm drawn to bird stamps and dies and have a bazillion of them. The difficulty will be in decided which to use for this awesome challenge!

Diane, the negative on the red really pops. I love that you did the white on red for the sentiment. Such a striking card. So glad you shared it with us at the Paper Players this week

Great use of a negative die cut. All those little hearts on the birds are perfect.

Thanks for coming to play in the Snippets Playground. Hope you grabbed a flower garland for your hair as well as a Maypole ribbon and had a dance around it! xxx
