Snowflakes at Cheery Lynn Designs

When I saw the challenge this week at Cheery Lynn Designs
I almost went "ugh"....lol...ONLY because last week we had
23 1/2" of snow, then another 6" on that, then another 6"....and
guess what...yep, yesterday ANOTHER 6"...and more predicted for today and tomorrow.
I was pretty much sick of seeing "snowflakes".....but hey, it is January, it is winter....
so being the "good sport" I am, and the fact that I now own over 80 Cheery Lynn Designs
dies, I decided, "why not" join in!!

However, I gave this a lot of thought....
I decided to do a heart made out of snowflakes!
And
the snowflake die I chose, if you look carefully,
has little hearts cut out in it!!
I made a square 4 /12" card, embossed it with a Darice heart EB folder
and used that for my base to "build" my heart!

I cut 14 Cheery Lynn Designs Snowflowers #2 and layered them on.
Seven were cut from Glitz "Hello Friend" paper,
and seven from MS "enchanted woodland" paper.
I added pearls for a "girlie" look.
I also "picked" each snowflake up with one of the CLD picks to give it a 3D look!

what do you think...likey???  I do!!!!!

What I think, Diane, is if you don't win, there will be no justice in the world of card challenges! The design alone is worth first place, but the execution puts you on some sphere the rest of us can only dream about! I mean it. Shut up!! Oh, and can we just say, wait. What? You own EIGHTY CLD dies???? Woot!! Enjoy the weekend and I hope the flippin snow stops falling for a while! Hugs, Darnell

Beautiful card, Diane. So lacey and delicate, I love the die you used. Since I just started ordering CLD dies, I have a way to go to catch up with you at 80. Thanks for sharing your vision, and stay warm in the snow!

Wow, this is absolutely stunning!! How creative to make a heart from the snowflakes!! It looks amazing!! Love, love it!!

Ugh, I don't know how you deal with so much snow. We have maybe 2 inches on the ground and more coming down and more predicted, but nowhere near your numbers. I couldn't stand it!! Stay warm my friend and have a great weekend :)

Diane, I love this beautiful snowflake heart! You are sooooo creative! 80 dies -- wow! Snow for us is a once in a while treat that's usually melted away by the afternoon. I know I wouldn't want it piled on for days at a time, especially since I have to get up early every morning and drive to work. I hope you get some relief from it soon!

Diane, I am with you on the no more snow. Normally I would say bring it on but this has been a really tough winter in Michigan; power failures, trees down, copious amounts of snow, lol. But your card is just stunning. I love how you created a heart from the snowflakes. Thank for you promoting Cheery Lynn so well. Good luck and thanks for joining in on the fun at Cheery Lynn Designs challenge.
