A Whole Lot of Glitter

Today is the first Wednesday of the month and that means a new challenge at
Double D challenges.
Our theme is very simple
GLITTER
and we have a beautiful mood board to inspire you!

I have lots of glitter and I mean LOTS.

I did a fun technique using an Elizabeth Craft Design peel off sticker.
I have several of these and they are pretty easy to use.
Here is a sample of how they look before I peeled it off.

There are good instructions on youtube of how to use them,
and with a transfer sheet (which I have and not tried yet)
you can use the remaining parts of the sticker so nothing goes to waste.

Basically, I stuck the sticker (it is just an outline) to a double sided adhesive paper
added a transparent glitter, then colored over that with my Copics
and simply cut it out, then adhered to my Sue Wilson die.
The sentiment was stamped directly on my paper using the new
Tim Holtz Stamp Platform.

Make sure and take a peek at what the amazing Design Team at
Double D challenges have created....
WOW, you will not be disappointed!!

Wow, oh wow! I used to love playing with this type of sticker but haven't seen them around for a while. What a brilliant idea for how you added the glitter. Gorgeous on the die and pretty paper, and yay for getting an easy to mail Christmas card done!

Well this is just stunning. I love the die cut and the patterned paper, but of course the star is that gorgeous cardinal. I think using the plain glitter and then coloring it with Copics is genius. I thought you paper pieced the whole thing. This is beyond beautiful!!

Beautiful cardinal, Diane, and your use of the glitter is perfection! I have some of those 'outline' stickers but have never tried coloring them. Thanks for the inspiration. Love to see you playing in our "Anything Goes with a Critter" challenge at 2 Crafty Critter Crazies. We do love regular supporters. :-D Good luck in the draw.
