Hello

First of September, WOW time sure does fly by doesn't it?
The first day of a month also means the start of a new challenge at
Dies R Us challenge blog.
and this time our theme is hand crafted flowers using dies.

I have to admit, I have an entire notebook (or 2) of flower dies
and had a hard time choosing, but in the end I went with
these Sue Wilson Finishing Touch String Flowers .
Because these flowers are so delicate, I recommend using a piece of wax paper
between the die and paper,
making it much easier to release from the die.

Each of these flowers have 3 layers that I first adhered to the leaf base.
I used Cheery Lynn Designs Tropical Leaves for these flowers.
For the base of the flowers to sit on, I die cut a
Tutti Designs Nesting Stitched Rectangles, using the largest size.

Now, I picked the string leaves up one by one starting with the top flower,
the pictures looks as though I left the flowers flat, but they aren't,
each and every petal on each layer was picked up with a die tool.
Black pearls were added to each center.
(I recommend you do this before 'picking' up each petal so as not to
're-flatten' them (ask me how I know that...lol)!

I finished by die cutting  Tutti Designs Word Set Hello
three times and stacking one on another for a bit more height.

For great inspiration head on over to the
Dies R Us Challenge blog and see all the amazing
creations the Design Team has to inspire you!
