I went with a stamp I bought because it had a special meaning to me.
Anyone that has ever had the pleasure of loving a pet will understand my silliness!
I used to sing this verse to my Nellie dog and flapped her ears while I was singing it to her,
I always called her sunshine every morning, I greeted her with
'Good Morning Sunshine"
She always loved it with her head in my lap,
I can hardly hear those words anymore without tearing up
but it's a good memory right?
I know silliness, but it just fit her....
so I was so happy when I went to Hobbylobby one day and saw this frame...perfect...
it sits in my kitchen so I can see her sunshiny face everyday!
I used Sparkle N Sprinkle Daffodil embossing powder
and the paper is from Penny Black, my first paper pad from that company
and I absolutely love it!!
So take a peek at the wonderful variety of creations the girls at
Double D challenges have come up with...
amazing as always!!

You are not silly, there are 2 songs I cry over everytime I hear them ... For my dogs! Just the thought of them brings tears and it's so long ago... Wonderful card Diane and perfect words.
Oh Diane, this makes me 'teary' it's what I used to sing as dad was dying along with Ave Maria.....oh so lovely.xx [aNNie]
What lovely memories Diane! Your card is gorgeous, love the yellow and gray together - simply perfect for that beautiful sentiment.
Beautiful, Diane! One of my favorite songs...sang it to our kids and now our grandkids. The yellow and gray look amazing together.

Such a sweet memory. Love the grays and yellows and glittery butterfly on your card.
Not silly....it's LOVE! The card is amazing and I adore that large beautiful sentiment! I also have a frame with 'you are my sunshine' it has a picture of my daughter and myself at her 1st birthday party, me holding her cake....she'll be 34 in November. The photo is old! :)
Not silly at all! I'm so glad I had the pleasure of spending some time with Nellie. You know I am NOT an animal lover but Nellie won my heart for sure! Your card is BEAUTIFUL and so fitting! Nellie would approve I'm sure!! HUGS
This card reminds me of my mom, she used to sing that song all the time. She said she wanted it sung at her funeral, but of course we didn't use it. The second verse is NOT really appropriate....lol. I love yellow and gray together and never think to use it, thanks for the inspiration. This card is just beautiful in every way!!!
Oh, Diane, I'm feeling a little weak and vulnerable right now and your story just finished me off. Yes, a good memory that will always bring tears with the smiles. I adore your card with the yellow and gray and the pretty, sparkly butterfly (I need that butterfly!). The frame for Nellie is perfect. I see everything you loved about her in that photo and I absolutely know the feeling. I sing to Wally and LuLu all the time. You want to talk silly? Since Wally was a puppy I've sung him a lullaby -- "Mighty Lak' a Rose". For dancing around I sing "Best Friend" which was a theme song for an old TV show -- Courtship of Eddie's Father. LuLu gets The Beach Boys "California Girl" and the super old "Cheek to Cheek". Of course, I slaughter the words to fit the dogs. Actually, I sing a lot. My repertoire for the dogs is endless. Have you noticed that when I get started on the dogs I get carried away? Sheesh. You understand.
Aw, Nellie sounds like she was a wonderful fur friend, and lots of fun to be around. I can just see her tilting her head as you sing - such a great photo to remember those good times. And the song could not have been a better one for your dear friend, too! She is beautiful, and so is your card in those lovely yellow and grey colors! Thanks for sharing, Diane.
I am leaving a much dreaded copy-and-paste phrase on my friends' blogs. Trying to get back into the groove of normal, everyday life. The recent events in Florida caused circumstances which triggered exacerbations of my diseases. Hoping that my hands heal, and strength returns soon - the rest of it can be coped with easily enough. Thanks for understanding my inability to accomplish very much - maybe in October? love and hugs, de
Beautiful card Diane, great colors and design also! Wonderful song to dedicate to Nellie - animals are always very special!
