Holiday Lantern

Just a quick post this afternoon.
I am taking a break from working outside and decided for something
different I would enter a few Christmas challenges....
yep, you heard me right....lol!

I have a box full of Christmas cards done
that haven't 'seen' my blog yet
and this is one of them.
I made a snowy embossed background panel
then stacked two Stitched Nesting Rectangles from Tutti Designs
for my Tutti Designs Holiday Lantern to 'sit' on.

For a pop of color
I stamped a Merry Christmas in red,
then fussy cut out.
The stamp is from SU.
Pretty simple card, an easy mailer!

Entering the following challenges:
Crafting By Designs .... Christmas
FAb 'n Funky .... Christmas
Watercooler Wednesday .... It's All About Christmas

Wow Diane, what a striking card! I love the embossed background with those two stacked stitched rectangles in the upper right. All that white really sets off the gorgeous black die-cut of the Christmas Lantern. The bright red sentiment which you've hand cut and added lends just the right warmth. Love it! Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.

Hooray for easy mailers, especially when it comes to Christmas cards. I haven't made nearly as many Christmas cards as I'd intended yet, so I need all the inspiration I can get. Got some cute new Christmas stamps and dies, too. I love this lantern. You go, Diane!

Beautiful! At first glance, this looks very simple. But then, all the details pop out: the texture, the layers and the pop of colour. Nicely done. Thanks for joining us at Watercooler Wednesday.
