Happy Birthday

WOW, can you believe it is already Sept 1st?
I know it isn't fall yet, but it soon will be.
I just hate the thought of summer leaving so soon....
but Sept 1st also brings us to a new challenge theme
at the Dies R Us challenge blog.
We want to see all your RED~WHITE~BLUE creations.

I used the cutest die  Cheapo Dies Pirate Octopus.


I die cut him from white card stock then ran him through my Big Shot.
I really like the texture it gave him.
The hat and patch were die cut from a navy blue card stock and red card stock.
I placed a scrap of red behind his mouth and gave him a google eye.
The background scalloped squares were die cut using
Happy Birthday was die cut using 
and
The word Matey is computer generated and die cut with a small oval from
I dotted the i on birthday with Nuvo Crystal Drops Gloss Midnight Blue
and then added random dots.
