Grows With Love

A new challenge is starting at The Sisterhood of Crafters
and is being hosted by our 'sistah' Darlene
and she has chosen as our theme
'Create Your Own Background'!

My birthday was back in October and I treated myself to a nice
'hefty' order at The Greetery and one of the things in that order
was their very cool Shiplap builder die.
This die is so fun to work with and makes awesome backgrounds.

After die cutting all the shiplap pieces I inked them with
Dew Drop Gray Flannel ink.
I actually created several more but all with different color inks,
this die is addicting!
They will show up on my blog at a later date I am sure!

The cute bear stamp/die  is from The Scrapping Cottage (Cottage Cutz)
Chole w/ Flowerpot, Wreath, Flowers
and includes the die with it!
This is a retired set and priced reasonable
so I have given you the link if interested!

I also added a sentiment from a stamp set I won from
Pink & Main 'Spring Train'.
It was die cut with a new slimline die set
Dotted Rectangles from Tutti Designs.
I kind of cacked it to one side
which I am usually not a fan of but it seemed to work for this card!

If you would like to see more fun and inspiring backgrounds
then head on over to The Sisterhood and see all the
amazing backgrounds my 'sistah's have created!!

What an awesome die! It really makes a fun background to your cute little feminine bear, and I bet it would make a great masculine card background too!

I love that little cutie and the way you colored it. And, the background you created is fantastic using that Shiplap Builder die. And, you are right the sentiment going off to the side that way looks wonderful.

I've been loving this die from afar ever since I first saw it. Such a cool background you made! You sure know how to use the die to its best advantage. Absolutely adorable Cottage Cutz stamp, too, and beautifully colored! You had me over there looking. I've held off shopping since Nov 1, but then while shopping for a gift last week I bought myself some stencils. It's hard!

Excellent idea to make several! Thanks for the inspiration. Darlene enabled me to buy this die and I have yet to use it. Love your card, that lil bear is adorable and such a versatile background. xoxo

Sorry for my lateness in commenting Diane. I don't know how I missed commenting this round on everyone's posts, but I did! Your barn wood background is fabulous such a cute, cute image to add to it. I'm thinking I now "need" this die as well. Thanks for always enabling and inspiring me. ;0)
