Happy Birthday

Hey, it's Wednesday the 13th-did I get your attention?

It is also a new theme challenge at The Sisterhood of Crafters
and being hosted by our 'sistah' Annie!

She has chosen the theme of embossing and/or dies!
I used both on my card.

I decided to make 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" card and a birthday one at that.
I used an old embossing folder that I have had for ages
and one that has not been used before.
It is a Spellbinders M-Bossabilities folder,
and it has been so long I had to watch a youtube video of how to use it!
Gosh the video was from March 2013~what would we do without youtube?

I have bags of pre-cut die cuts, all sorted by color
so I decided this might be a good time to pull something from there.
The Precious Marieke Flowery die was in the 'white' bag
along with the butterfly, so I put them to use!
I added a bit of glue and scor-tape to the butterfly then sprinkled glitter on.

The sentiment and die it's on is from Lawn Fawn.
I stamped the sentiment with Altenew Turquoise ink.

This is a very easy challenge so why not head on over to The Sisterhood
and see all the pretty offerings from my 'sistahs' and join in with us too!

So glad you finally gave that embossing folder some use Diane. Your card is lovely! The white wreath, banner and butterfly make for a pretty, feminine card. The added bit of sparkle on the butterfly is the icing on the cake!

I love this. Your colors are so pretty, and those white die cuts really pop against the teal background. And the texture from the embossing folder is the perfect touch to add interest. FABULOUS card, my friend!

So lovely, Diane! Wow, that embossing folder is fabulous! I have 2 of those SB folders too and haven't used them in a long time. They are intimidating to me. Love the wreath and sparkly little butterfly! I will miss you as a Sistah, but will see you elsewhere!

Hey, Sistah! Your card is so pretty! First, I just love that background embossing! Then, you place that lovely wreath on it with a sweet butterfly, and I just have to sigh. Perfectly done. Hope you are having a great start of the year! Looking forward to another fun year with you, Sistah!

Pretty wreath! Yes, I had to figure out the right sandwich for those folders. Also, the Spellbinders folders that have two different sides? I think sometimes the stuff they come out with is wacky, I noticed Spellbinders in particular, though I do love most of what I have of theirs. xoxo
