What's Your Favorite Color?

Hello All....
Today I am the hostess for our newest challenge at  "The Sisterhood of Crafters"
and our theme is "What is Your Favorite Color"?

Well I certainly have had several favorite colors over the years.....
I guess they change with age....
I have gone from pink to lavender to white and back and forth..lol...
So for today, right at this moment I have been loving "YELLOW"
Yellow makes me happy, such a bright, pretty happy color!!

My card came together pretty quickly as I had this adorable little image
sitting on my desk from
Crafty Secrets using the Fairy Printable Sheet ....
I cut around her butterfly wings and added a bit of glitter to them...
I think the glitter just makes her "come alive"!!

The sunshine rays in the background was one I experimented making
about a year ago, now they have a wonderful stencil that does the same thing...
oh well, at least I got to use it!!

The fluffy clouds were cut with an Impression Obsession die.....

Well, that about sums it up...hop on over to "The Sisterhood"
and take a peek at what lovely creations my "sisters" have to inspire you!!

Entering in the following challenges:

Craft Your Passion .... Bring Me some Sunshine/add Yellow
and
Digi Sketch Challenge .... Sketch and/or Fairies
and
Eureka Stamps .... Things With Wings

Hello Love

I have a pretty busy schedule this week, not only online,
but with various appointments as well
but, I happened to notice Tuesday seemed to be a "free" day for me in blogland....

I read through a few of my favorite challenges waiting for one to "grab me"
and came across Case Study....

For their 4th anniversary celebration they had a blog hop....
Visiting the talented DT and leaving a comment,
I noticed their challenge was to "CASE" one of the team members...
Not an easy task, as all of the projects were inspiring and gorgeous!!

I chose Teri Anderson and her fun card below, as I loved all the layers,
knew I had plenty of stock on hand for her adorable card,
and as it was getting to be around midnight,
felt I could put my card together in short order!

I used her basic design and switched things around a bit to make it mine.....
I did have a cute little fawn image similar to hers, but the idea is to "case" not "copy"!

The fun part for me was using up some of the things I have had forever it seems!!

Stop back tomorrow as in the morning my The Sisterhood of Crafters card will be up
 with all the challenge information
and in the afternoon my Classy Cards 'n Such Challenge card will post.....
I invite you to join in both challenges...prizes are being awarded and "YOU" could win one!!

I am also entering in the following challenges:
Artistic Inspiration .... Anything Goes Pockets and/or Tags
and
Cutie Pie Challenge .... Teddy Bears Picnic

A Simple Hello

Here is my post that will on the blog this morning at
Classy Cards 'n Such

Hi Classy Friends, Diane here with you today with a card for our
weekly challenge "Negative"..."Sometimes it's okay to be Negative"
meaning to use a negative of a die cut...
Now, how simply FUN is that???

When I cut a die, I always look at the negative to see if it could be used....
The negatives are so pretty with background paper behind them,
which is what I did for this card.

I have a love for leaf and branch dies, and these are perfect for negatives...
I used a cream panel and cut two of the  five leaves from the
to put under my negatives.

I didn't stop there though, I cut the same two leaves from the smaller set of
these are the identical leaves of the larger ones, but just in a smaller size...
aren't they just the cutest??
I popped them on top of the larger leaves with Joy! Foam Pads Small,
giving a nice 3D look!

I finished off my panel with a pretty ribbon from my stash and tied a fishtail
banner on  with Doodle Twine Bright Assortment that has been
stamped with a sentiment from the JustRite Hello Daisy stamp set

My panel was then mounted onto my card stock using Scor-tape 1/4"

See how easy it is to use a negative??  I invite YOU to join the rest of the
Design Team in our "Negative" challenge...you could be our next "winner!!!

Happy Monday to you....
Today is my "debut" as part of the wonderful and talented Crafty Secrets Design Team.
On the first Monday of every month is the Crafty Secrets linky party
where  the talented Design Team gets together to bring some fabulous inspiration!
Sound like fun?...but wait there's more...

the "free" Crafty Secrets products offered (listed on the blog)
and have a chance at winning a $50 gift certificate to the store chosen by Randon.org....
and ALL the entrants will receive one $6.00 coupon to the store!!!

For my project I started out with a shadow box frame I purchased for half off
I printed my background papers from the Thanksgiving Collection.....
each shadow frame was 4x6 so it made is very easy to print my papers and cut
to that size...I did have to have my hubby move the handle so my box ran the
shadow insets 4x6 as they were 6x4 if that makes any sense!!
I love the bold pattern and colors for these papers...
and I don't have a fancy printer at all, and they printed beautifully!!

When printing my background papers I printed them full sheet size 8 1/2 x 11
so I was able to use the leftover pieces for my project

After all the background papers were adhered with glue
then began the fun part...decorating my frames.....

Frame one is one of my favorites.....I love the beautiful Autumn Blessing
it is part f the Thanksgiving Collection...I popped it up and added a gingham bow.

Frame two is also part of the Thanksgiving Collection.....
I loved the look of the vintage children, printed them twice, then fussy cut
one set and popped them up on the first set...I love the 3D effect of the frame

Frame three, the image came from
"Summertime Vintage Images and Journal Notes"....
I love how all the fresh veggies remind of a Fall harvest....
I wanted to mention that this booklet has 32 pages with 2 images on each page
and is on sale right now for $3.50!!!  It arrives to you in booklet form..

Frame four I cut a jar from some of my background stamps and fussy cut
around the sunflower so it looks like it is in the jar
I think this is the prettiest image, it is from "Fall Printable"

Frame five, I thought I would keep very neutral...
I colored the image from "Thanksgiving Collection" very lightly with Copics
and personalized it with our name using "Family Matters" vintage stickers.
This is another sale item..and entire sheet of vintage stickers for 99 cents!!!

Frame six has an image once again from "Thanksgiving Collection"
which I added glitter to...cut a few leaves, added a few buttons.

The Fall banner is part of "Fall Printable"

I love how my project turned out and I now have a beautiful piece of art
for my Fall decor!!

a new challenge at "The Shabby Tea Room"....
Rebecca is our hostess this week and she has chosen the theme
Rainbows and Raindrops and using the photo below for inspiration!

Well, if you notice, most of my cards for "The Shabby Tea Room"
have been all about "Shabby Chic"...so this one was a bit different of what I usually do...
I had fun with the bright colors and ink splatters and it is just a "happy" card I think!!

Our sponsor this week is "Paper Sweeties" and if you didn't know it...
it is also their 2nd birthday.....you want to make sure to head on over
to the blog as there is a blog hop and lots of wonderful prizes.... .

you can see "my" "Paper Sweeties" project  HERE..

For my card today I made a colorful rainbow using a few flowers from my stash
I love the sentiment and it is from "Paper Sweeties" "Rainbows and Roses" set.
Thinking a bit "out of the box"...my ink splatters are "my" raindrops!!

Now jump on over to  the "The Shabby Tea Room" and see what the other "shabby girls"

Happy Birthday Celebration At "Paper Sweeties"

Today is the day "Paper Sweeties" is celebrating their 2 year "birthday"....
And guess what?
I have been invited to join in for the Celebration with the super talented Design Team
and fifteen other "Special Guest Designers"...
The festivities last the entire month long.....
I hope you will join in with us!!

There are all kinds of things you don't want to miss out on....
A challenge that you can enter ALL month long,
Here is the inspiration board

Prizes...oh yes,  lots of prizes,
including a $100 gift certificate to the Paper Sweeties Boutique
All the details are on the Paper Sweeties blog....make sure and leave a comment!!
Scroll down for the "HOP" list.....

And now on to my project....
Did you ever play with paper dolls when you were growing up?
I know my sister and I did...and I am really going to age myself here
when I say we had "The Lennon Sisters" paper dolls....
I always had a fondness for dolls, so what better project to share then a fun set of
"Birthday" paper dolls!!

I started out with a house shape chipboard mini album and covered it totally with
Graphic 45 papers, they were the perfect colors for the inspiration board for the challenge!
I used the darling stamp and die set "Emma" for my paper doll.....
I cut 2 sets of her, one for the front and one to "dress up"!

The doll on the front cover is Velcro-ed on so she can be removed to play with...
and so is her little kitty which is from set "Sweeties Pets"...
I also used the "banner" from the " Celebrate" set
Emma's dress was cut from the " Jelly Bean Time" set .... I even added real tulle under the hem!

The little dress above is from the "Live Love Grow set",
I also cut her a watering can!
The next four pages (including the one above)
I added vellum pockets to keep the paper doll clothes in
and another "Emma" that can be dressed with the various outfits.....

Emma was cut twice,
once out of cardboard to make her sturdy and durable to be played with
and once from card stock.

I added "tabs" to all the clothes, and each outfit was stamped on card stock, then stamped
again on a designer paper and paper pieced to the card stock, then cut out.....

Stamp set used for the outfit "Have A Holly Jolly Holiday"
and
The cake is from the "Celebrate" set

This adorable little coat is from "Let It Snow" set
and the present is from the "Celebrate" set

I used various decorations throughout and even cut some of the details from the packaging that the stamps come with!!
You will also see a cake and a present, both of which have Velcro, so they  come off
easy to be played with....
For the top of the album I added various ribbon scraps and
used some of the yummy seam bindings
Grape and Mint

I think this will make a wonderful birthday card/present for some little girl to have!!
I could of decorated the clothes a bit more, but for the little
girl I have this in mind for, I wanted to keep it more simple
do to her age!
