Witches Legs

This is my card on the Sparkle N Sprinkle blog today.

Hi, Diane with you today with a fabulous 'witches legs' card and the cutest little
stamp set 'A Puppy's Halloween'.
Usually we think of cats for Halloween so it was fun seeing a little witch pup appear!
For my card base I used (borrowed) a cut file from
The Cutting Cafe Witch Legs Shaped Card.

The cut file cuts the stripes in the socks, leaving an 'open' stripe every other stripe.
I ran a piece of 1 /12" double sided tear-ific tape behind each sock stripe,
then sprinkled them with Dogwood Rose glitter (fitting name of glitter for the pup..lol)
I stamped my pup and colored him in with Copics, then fussy cut him out.

I cut down a 1 1/2" action wobble to fit the back of the pup.
They do stock these in a 3/4" size as well, but all I had on hand were the larger sized wobbles.
(sorry he looks purple in the picture, he's not)

You can see how he sits on it here,
and just by touching him, he will 'wobble' back and forth!

These are what the wobbles look like, before I cut mine down to fit him.

Action Wobbler 1 1/2" [AWS10]

Using a Nuvo Glue Pen Medium, I added Creamsicle  glitter to his hat and shoe heels
and more of the Dogwood Rose glitter to the hat band, and
Evening Glow glitter to the broom handle.
I inked the buckles with Versamark embossing ink,
then embossed with Midnight Madness embossing powder.

Here is the finished card again...thank you for visiting with me today!

Candy Corn Treat Cup

I have the cutest treat card to share that I cut on my
Cricut Explore
with a cut file from The Cutting Cafe.
Make sure to check them all out as they all are cute...
so cute I had a hard time deciding which one to go with!
No electronic cutting machine?
No worries as it also comes in a PDF file too.

In fact on the 7th, ALL the design team will be on
The Cutting Cafe BLOG, all with a different version of the treat cups!
so cool, you can see them all in ONE place
and just by leaving a comment there (of course I appreciate one here too)
you have a chance to win 3 cut files of your own choice!

Well, obviously I went with the candy corn treat cup...
so very easy to make (she has a video too, to help you along)....
but one of the best things about this treat cup is my
CUSTOM RIBBON!!!
I love, love, love it.....
it says 'Thank You From Nellie's Nest.....
(I will have more to show of another one next week...
I am on vacation right now!)

Want some custom ribbon of your own?

Fright Night

It's the first Wednesday of the month and that means a new challenge beginning at
Double D Challenges!
Our theme is Fright Night and using the inspiration board below!

I just love this fun board, so many options here!
When I designed this board (over a year ago)
I knew I wanted to purchase those cute little spider dies from Cheery Lynn Designs
just for this mood board..crazy I know.
Well, they were out of stock at Dies R Us, but I just put myself on the waiting list
and before I knew it they arrived at my door!
Of course I had to add those silly google eyes !

I die cut a window (Poppystamps)and backed with a scrap of

Halloween paper.

I stamped the sentiment in Versamark (it's an OLD Martha Stewart stamp),
then embossed with Sparkle N Sprinkle Midnight Madness embossing powder.
This is one of the embossing powders that has glitter in it...LOVE!

Head on over to the Double D Challenge blog and
see all the beautiful inspiration the DT has
created to inspire you, these girls knock it out of the park every time!

Oh Happy Day

Yep, I have a second post today...
but I just had to share this cute little pumpkin wagon card!

I used a Spellbinders Curved Matting Basic 8 for my backgrounds.
I love these matting sets, makes for a nice easy card!

The center of attention though is the Tutti Designs Pumpkin Cart.
I backed the pumpkins with a tiny dotted paper.

The little sentiment came from one of my paper pads!

Trick or Treat

We are getting into  October and it will soon be
'HALLOWEEN'!!

I have another Halloween card to share using once again the
Tutti Designs Spooky Gate.

I used a spooky plaid background paper,
Then colored in a big old moon,
a 'stitched' moon at that using a TD Nesting Stitched Circle
and a few TH distress inks!

I die cut my gate, then cut the bat on top once again but in black.
The sentiment is an 'old' stamp I have had forever it seems!

Welcome Baby

It's the first of the month and that means a start of a new challenge at

Our theme is Life Event.
I chose to make a baby card for a boy for a change
as I seem to make so many 'girlie' cards!

I started with a quilted background
which I thought was perfect for a baby!

I next cut the largest of the nesting stars using

I added the word baby using
I used Versamark on the word, then coated it with
Indian Spark embossing powder.
This is one of those EB powders that has glitter in it...so pretty!

Since I seem to have a love for little 'ellies',
I chose to use Tonic Studios Elephants for my focal point!

To make it have a bit more 'celebration', I added a banner using

Now pop on over to the Dies R Us challenge blog

Pocket Card

This is my post on the Sparkle N Sprinkle blog today.

Hi, Diane with you today.
I have used the gorgeous stamp set
'Lovely Magnolia' to make my card with a pull out tag/sentiment.

The base of the card is somewhat like an envelope.
I used a heavy patterned paper cut to 8" x 8 1/2".
Line the 8 1/2" side of paper  on the bottom of your score board and
score at 2 1/4" and 6 1/4".
Turn paper 90 degrees and score at 2 1/2".
Cut outer 2 1/2" and 2 1/4" panels off (like shown below)
Using a plate, trace an arch as shown, then trim off around traced line.
Fold up, adhere with 1/2" Tear-ific Tape.

It should look something like this when done.
I also cut a band to go around 1 1/2" x 8 1/2" to go around.

I die cut a Cheery Lynn Bell doily,
coated it with Versamark embossing ink, then embossed with Magic Speckle embossing powder.
This is a thicker embossing powder, giving a really nice sheen to it.

I stamped the image with Versamark ink, then embossed with Silver Detail Fine embossing powder.
It was colored in with Copics, then fussy cut out, adhered to the doily
and the band on the front.
I added a pretty little bow to the stem.

For the inside of the pullout tag/sentiment,
I added a piece of 1 1/2" tea-ific tape around the  top edge
and 2 pieces of 1/2" tear-ific tape at the bottom.
I trimmed the top piece to match the top of the card shape,
then peeled off the paper covering and sprinkled with Reflection glitter.
The sentiment and the small magnolia flower were stamped with Versamark ink
and embossed with the Silver Detail Fine embossing powder.

Here is a look at both pieces.

And here is another look at the finished card.
