Hearts

Happy first Wednesday of February!!
Being the first Wednesday of the month
brings us to a new challenge at
I created this pretty 'mood board' for inspiration.
However, you can create any color as long as you have hearts on it!

Here is my card.

As you can see I went totally with the mood board colors
and some of the elements seen.

This was a very easy card to make using an embossing folder (hearts)
and some pretty dies.

I also distressed the embossed piece,
taking direction from one of the hearts on the board
(bottom left heart).
I used my Zutter Distress It All for that.

The next layer was a Cherry Lynn Designs die cut doily,
then a Heart die from Spellbinders,
speaking of, the wings are also SB which I bought a
grab bag of dies from them in the  last year or so
and the wings were one of them.
They came in pretty handy for this card!

The little heart is one of Tutti Designs Stitched Nesting Heart dies.

I don't normally post the prizes on MY blog
but because this die is a favorite of mine
I decided to show what you could win just by
entering our challenge.

Make sure to go to Double D and see all the beautiful work
by the design teams...they are amazing as always!!

OMG this is SO SO pretty! What a clever way to use those 'wings' (mine are still in the package lol) and the button/tie center is just perfect! What a fabulous design my friend and fun challenge theme!

This is going to be a very popular challenge what with the month of love and all. I absolutely love the colors of the mood board and the card you created with them is soooooo cute! What a fun combination of dies and embossing, plus the button and twine on the heart. Sweet!

I like the use of non-traditional colours for the Valentine's card - a fresh take on the theme.

Although I did my card in the usual reds, I totally love the colors and the romantic look of the mood board and I love your inspiration. Those scrolly hearts on the doily are super cute and the texture of all your layers really make for an eye-pleasing card.
