Falling Hearts Stained Glass

This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today.

Hi, Diane with you today using the
Tutti Designs Falling Hearts Stained Glass die.

I die cut from black card stock then adhered to vellum
and carefully trimmed around the edge.
I then used various red and pink Copics to color in on
the back side of the vellum
then flipped it over and adhered it down to a metallic  card stock
that I had cut from a Scalloped Stitched Nesting Rectangle.

For the next card I used a fun and easy technique.
using a somewhat flat pan you add water
then drop different colors of nail polish on top of the water
and slightly swirl it with a Popsicle stick.
Lay the paper on top, lift off and let dry.

This is so fun as you will never get two alike.
I then adhered my die cut and hand cut carefully  around.

Fabulous! I bookmarked your nail polish technique ages ago. Well, hey, at least it's there if I ever remember to actually try it. This one turned out awesome! Love both! You know, I fell in love with these stained glass dies and still have at least one I've not used yet. For shame. Story of my life, right?

Two beautiful cards. The nail polish background is so neat. I guess I won't try it though as I don't have any nail polish. I am cutting corners with my spending. I think years ago I tried that technique too but my nail polish kept rubbing off. Must have been a cheap brand. LOL
