Paris In The Springtime

Hi All,
I am the hostess at Fussy and Fancy this week...
my first time hosting there and I was/am a bit nervous..lol!

I chose a color challenge of lavender and yellow
using the photo below for inspiration!

Our sponsors for this challenge are
and

I made a fun "Paris In The Springtime" card.
The background embossing folder I just love.
It is by Sue Wilson.

I cut an Eiffel Tower on my Cricut and decorated it with
flowers from my stash.
I am known to buy "junk" jewelry from garage sales
and cut them apart for my cards.
The yellow flower and the gem you see are both from old earrings.

I have some honeycomb papers I bought a few years ago,
so drug them out and added a circle one for fun!

The Fussy and Fancy girls have GORGEOUS projects to inspire you
so, why not head on over and take a peek and join in with us.
I am always in awe of their creations and feel blessed to be part of the team!!

For my card I used a gorgeous detailed die
which I cut from a glittered designer paper!
I adhered it to a glossy card stock base with Scor-tape.

I wanted very tiny butterflies that were layered
which I cut apart to get the tiny butterflies you see.
Just a couple of quick snips is all it takes!

I went with some very easy and quick flowers using

I stamped my OLD 2010 SU sentiment with Versamark
and used Sparkle N Sprinkle Black Fine Detail EB powder.
A few gems were added and I was done!

on all your orders...wow...how often do you see that?

Hello, Diane here with you today with another project using the beautiful
Dreamweaver Peacock stencil.

I stenciled my peacock on white card stock using White Embossing Paste,

applying with a Palette Knife.

Starting from the outside in, I added Misty Blue glitter, tapped it off,

added my next color, and repeated each step until completely covered.
Other colors of SNS glitter used on the peacock were Parisian Mist,
Waterfall, and Cherry Lemonade for the Peacock "crown".

I let this dry overnight, then adhered it to a metallic card stock

The sentiment is from Shabby Chic Birdhouse stamp set,

stamped with Black Detail embossing powder.

The card was finished with a bit of trim at the top and a glittery ribbon.

I encourage you to give stenciling a try...it is so fun, and when done

you will have a beautiful and unique project!

This is my post live at the Dies R Us  blog today...enjoy!!

Hi there!
It's Thursday and my time to share a card with you
using a few fun new dies I just received!

I make lots of fancy and fussy cards,
but today I went an entirely different route!
A bit more clean and simple and easy to mail!

on white card stock using
TH Distress Inks Spiced Marmalade and Peacock Feathers.
I cut out a circle with Memory  Box Stitched Circles layers.
This one is no longer in stock, but did you know if you
typed in the word "stitched" in the search box
many more will come up to choose from?
You can do this with any word and it is amazing how many fun dies
you can find that way!

My sentiment was stamped on with Versamark,
then embossed with Sparkle N Sprinkle Black Detail EB powder.
The stamp is a Magenta, if interested.

From scrap paper I cut Memory Box Surely Stitched Circle.
A few little flowers from my stash were added.

Don't forget to enter our Dies R Us Anniversary challenge.
It is all  month long celebrating Dies R Us 1st Anniversary!!

is the theme of this weeks challenge.
Doesn't that sound like fun?

Diane here with you today and I have to admit,
I had a lot of fun with this challenge theme!
So much fun, that I am using the inspiration photo
for another card that will post Saturday morning!
I hope you stop back to see it!!

I started out embossing a white panel using
Doily Lace embossing folder.
Stardream Jupiter Red Metallic card stock for the body of the pail

I wanted tiny daisy flowers for the pail,
so I used the blossoms from Impression Obsession Hydrangea Set.
The yellow in each tiny flower is a bit of yellow flocking I have had forever!

Next, I added a few tulips cut from white card stock
using Memory Box Dancing Tulips
which were colored with markers.
I also cut the leaves a bit slimmer then the original die cut
to fit better within the pail.

To finish, I added a tiny gingham bow.

Little, Simply Shabby chic

Hello Monday!!!
How is your weather??
It is wet~wet~wet here!
I have been spending the rainy days in my creative room
working away on DT projects...
I need to do that...I have been so neglectful of my creative room lately!
Must be the weather and time of year and lack of sleep...lol!

Today I have a little shabby chic simple card to show you!
Very recently Crafty Secrets released a beautiful set
of digital papers called Birds & Blooms papers.
Every single one of these papers I absolutely love!!

The design you see in this card is all one paper...
can you believe it??
I printed it twice in a 4 x 6 size.
The second print I fussy cut the flowers and the bird and popped them up!

I added a piece of lace trim from Really Reasonable Ribbon
and my last snippet of blush hand dyed seam binding ribbon.
The little wood house (birdhouse) I painted with vintage mint silks acrylic glaze

A pearl flourish and a couple of flowers
from my stash were added to complete my card!

This will be a cute little card to tuck inside a gift bag.

Head on over to Crafty Secrets and check out not only our blog,
but the online store, too.

There is an amazing sale going on!!
