Good Luck Shaker Card

This is my post on the Sparkle N Sprinkle blog today.

Hi, Diane with you today with a Irish shaker card using the newly released set Irish Blessings.

This was very simple to do and so much fun to do, plus it looks like it took you forever to make and will surely be appreciated by the recipient.  Let me tell how I created it.

First cut a circle from your card stock.  My card was approximately 4 1/2" x 4 1/2 ". I also used a round corner punch for each of the 4 corners.  Next I added 1/8" Tear-ific Tape to adhere my clear card stock on, then added narrow lengths of foam tape around.  A little tip is to take the backing off the tape and you go around, as it then makes it much easier to bend around the outer circle.

Next add your shaker pieces, I used some shamrocks and dollar sign 'confetti' from the dollar store.  Add your backing and flip it over to continue.

Using round nesting dies (I used Tutti Designs Nesting Stitched Circles), (put one inside the other) and die cut.

It should look something like this when done.  Now using a Nuvo Glue Pen Large, I added glue around the entire ring, then coated it with Lady Luck glitter.  I added glue to the back once done and slipped it over the outer edge of my circle shaker.

This was then adhered to a green card stock base, which also had the corners rounded with a corner punch.

I stamped the horseshoe image with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, as well as the single shamrocks.  All were colored with Copic markers.  I used a Sakura Glue Pen on the bow image and single shamrocks, then added more of the Lady Luck glitter.  I fussy cut all the images with Tonic 5" Mini Scissors.
The sentiment was stamped with Versamark, then embossed with Gold Detail embossing Powder.  A round punch was used to cut it out.

I hope you will give one of these a try as they are easy and fun to do!

This is fabulous! Every shaker I make sticks to the foam and static clings to the acetate. I heard you could die cut a certain sticky foam sheet and it works better, but I can't find it online. I love your design and am glad you have better luck! This is fabulous! Hugs, Autumn
