Fusion 4 Challenge

Awhile back I came across a brand new, just starting challenge
called "fusion"

My idea was to do each one from day one on.....
well, I made it to the first one, and here it is the 4th challenge....
and I ended up missing 2.....
but hopefully I can now keep up.....
if you haven't seen it yet...then by all means follow my link there
as there is some awesome, and I mean awesome eye candy there....
you vote on your 3 favorites, and it is hard, as these girls are creative!!!

For my creation, I used a background paper from Crate Paper Neighborhood Collection....
the doily is a Cherry Lynn Die
the flower is one I made a few weeks back using the Wendi Vecchi modeling film
and I stamped my sentiment on some twill tape....
Now I am headed back outside to the flower gardens...see ya tomorrow!!

In The Clouds

It's going to be a sunshiney day here today....
I will be outside in my flower gardens for awhile...yeah!!!

I think my "mojo" is finally returning a bit.....
I needed a card for a granddaughters birthday....
so decided to sneak a card into the challenge at City Crafters which is "clouds"
Which by the way, I am a guest designer there on May 7th...so that is exciting....
They have very fun challenges, and I try not to miss them!!
For my card, I used an IO cloud background stamp to start with
I then used a few Unity stamps from one of their past KOM club
I added a bit of bling to my airplane, and stamped "happy birthday"
with a Hero Arts Stamp

.......

I have had a few "wins" lately......
my altered box received an "honorable mention" at the Shabby Tea Room
My little happy camper won at Papercraft Star...and I won a $50 gift certificate
to the "Shabby Apple"
and then I won some "fab" blog candy from my friend Dianne at Magpiedi-Magpiedi
So it has been a very fun week or so!!!

A Little Something.... Finally

Today is was raining, so I had a project to complete for my guest designer
spot on May 7th at City Crafters.....
As long as I was somewhat back in the creative mood
I decided to get my mojo in gear and do a challenge.....
I made this card for the challenge at Papercraft Star using the photo below for inspiration...

here is my card I made.....

I have had these little wood teapots for years, so I stamped on it...
.turned out kind of cute.....

Micro Glitter Tulips

Well, I must say, I am not usually fond of doing more then one post a day
but due to some other things I have going on

I wanted to make sure I got this posted.....
so here it is, my Micro Glitter Tulips card

you might remember me doing this technique last fall
using the Elizabeth Craft Stickers, micro glitter and Copics
the stickers are peeled off and placed on Scor tape paper
glitter is sprinkled on (micro glitter) and then colored with Copics
you just want to make sure you clean your Copics very well when done
it's a somewhat easy and very rewarding process...
I am entering this in a "new to me" challenge at Stampendous Impressions to use
"Micro Glitter".....
if you are not familar with this glitter it is a very, very fine glitter
it can be purchased in lots of colors, I used a plain white (warm) color on my card
so I could "color" it.......
these are the stickers used, the ones on the left are after they are peeled off
and the ones on the right are before they are peeled off......

Gingham and Daisies

Can you believe we are having snow flurries.....
nothing major, but I am so "over" snow and cold weather....
Mother Nature is playing some bad tricks on us!!

I made my Gingham and Daisies card for the challenge at Impression Obsession
"flowers for you challenge"
I used Dew Drop Dandelion and SU Gumball Green for my IO gingham background stamp
the twig wreath and the daisy flowers are cut with IO dies....
the ribbon is a past $1 Michael's purchase.....the butterfly brad is Basic Grey (I think)

Frame It

Hello Monday.....
I still am having problems getting my creativity back...
does that happen to you??

I walk into my room full of wonderful things to work with
and draw a blank...
I have tons of inspiration...other blogs...Pinterest....but nothing seems to help
I think I have what writers call "writers block"...lol
I am hoping it goes away soon!!

I put this card together for the challenge at Flourishes "frame it"
I used a little plastic Maya Road frame for my sentiment...
the image is from Flourishes...
after coloring it with Copics, I added some shimmer to the flowers using Perfect Pearls
today is to be our best day this week, 60's in the afternoon and I plan to work outside
maybe the fresh air will clean my brain of it's cobwebs and my mojo will return!!

Pretty In Purple Challenge

Whew, it sure is taking me a bit to get my "mojo" going.....
I don't know whats wrong with me, but it seems like I am starting all over like a newbie!!
Maybe it's this cold weather, we had a HARD frost last night.....
so annoying, as my daffodils and other flowers got hit hard....
my leopards bane was loaded with buds, am not sure if they will come out of it.....

So, I "attemped" to do a challenge this morning for "Pretty In Purple" challenge
my purple shimmery flowers are anyones guess, just a purple flowers I guess....hah!

I have to say I am NOT a PURPLE  person, but gave it a go.....

to make the flowers I used my
Cheery Lynn dies fanciful flourish, BAF #2 , BAF embellishments #2
the cardstock is Concord Crush from SU
and the sentiment is SU Vintage Verses
the flowers were sprayed with Tattered Angels
a rather simple card.......

Traveling

Wow...I can't believe it's been over a week since I posted.....
I have a lot of catching up to do!!!
Where the heck have I been?
Well, to start with, the hubs was sick.....
and because he loves me so much and likes to share with me
guess what he gave me...???
Yep, his "grunge".....thanks honey!!

But I did mange to put together this cute little "treat box"
This is one of the times I wish I had the software for the SVG cuts...
I had to cut the entire thing by hand, and its just not as smooth as I would like...
and it took me ALL day...and I mean ALL day....
the "plans" for the "Happy Camper" can be purchased from
if you have a Silouhette or the software (that you can't get anymore) for your Cricut
I recommend you use it...it would be much faster!!

So anywho, it's late and I am going to make this quick.....
I made this for the challenge at City Crafters "bon voyage"
what could be more perfect, then my own little "camper"???

Lilacs~Roses~Shabby Flowers ~ Oh My

I have had a very productive day in the creative room...
it has been raining cats and dogs all day!

Been working on a couple different projects ....
one is for the challenge at The Shabby Tea Room "Shabby Spring"
using the inspiration photo above, and the other is at
Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge Blog "anything goes"
you cna click on the photos for a larger (and better) image

today I have a sweet little altered box to share....
I bought this  balsa wood box at Michael's last year from the $1 bin...

I painted it a blue color, and had hoped to either distress it white or crackle it....
but that pesky "other person" that lives in my house and puts things where I
can't find them, must of been at it again, as I could find neither...sigh...

I sanded it a bit, still thought it needed more,.
so I grabbed some white lightning and painted it on ....
but it didn't do what I wanted either, so I streaked on some watered down white paint...
now it's looking a bit more what I had in mind!
I adhered a Cheery Lynn Designs tiny Italian Flourish doily

but I pretty much covered it up with my flowers......
other products used from Cheery Lynn Designs are:
Tiny things With Wings
Cutie Fringe 4 (for the lilacs and the fringe flower)
Flourish Leaf Strip
Build A Flower Embellishments #2
Build A Flower #2

I love how my little hummingbird "flutters" above the flowers!!
I used 2 different colors of Tattered Angels Sprays on the pink flower
that's it for today...hope you enjoyed it!

Flourishes Summer Lovin' Challenge

It's that time of the month when Flourishes has their new release
and a few challenges to go with it....this challenge is Summer Lovin'
you can use the photo for color inspiration or just go off on your own
as long as it's "summertime"

I needed a thank you card to send out
and chose this Flourish set "With Gratitude"

I colored in the image with my "small" stash of Copics...
the doily in the background is a new Cheery Lynn die I just purchased
called "Pinwheel" doily....I actually have a "real" doily in this pattern...
the layering of it came quite by accident...
I cut the coral one first, and the color just didn't stand out....
so then cut a green one, and somehow it ended up on the coral one...
I loved the layering of the 2 and "viola'"...
the card is quite large  (5 1/2" square) to accommodate the doily....
I am sending this to a friend for a gift she gave to me.....

Birthday Wishes

It was nice and warm here Tuesday afternoon.....
but its not to last.....
I spent the day sorting thru things to donate to the Goodwill...
it's that time of the year to clean out....
but somehow I just manage to bring new in...

so after my hard days work and making dinner....
I was able to spend a little time in my creative room....
I made this card for a few different challenges.....

first for City Crafter, as it is their 3rd "birthday".....
I have been doing their challenges for awhile now....
and won a few times.....I will be guest designing there on May 7th.....
it's one of the challenges I try to do weekly, as it is always so fun....
and also I came across a "new" just starting challenge called
they give you a sketch, and an inspiration photo....
you can do  one, or both, or "fuse" the two together on one card....
that is what I did.....
and also a "new to me" challenge at Flutterby Wednesdays
to use a butterfly or fairy...

I made my felt flowers from a Memory Box die...
the leaves are from Memory Box as well...aren't they just the cutest???
The butterfly is a MS punch...the sentiment is from Hero Arts
and the "chevron" embossing is from Sizzix!!!!

Butterfly Collage

I know this is my third post for today....
and I know it can be annoying...lol...but
I LOVED how  this card turned out and just had to share it!!

It is a collage of sorts
I wish you can see it in person, as it shows the color variances much better!
I started out with a pale yellow card stock
I stamped my images in black, then sponged on 3 colors of yellows
I know the one looks a bit "orange", but it is SU more mustard, so more of a gold/yellow
then I had a polka dot stencil I sponged black over
added my gingham ribbon and distressed the edges...love it!

I made this card for the challenge at Joan's Gardens
and
 the challenge at Flutterby Wednesday
to use a butterfly or fairy and a flower

Joan's challenge is to use black and yellow
use a frame (mine is the outside white distressed border)
use something to do with Spring
use something from Joan's Gardens

products used from Joan's are the stamped images (all but the mop head flowers)
the stamp is Spring Jubilee from Pink Paislee...Joan has these in stock, and she has/had
these on sale for 50% off ...making them $5...so if you want them, you might email and ask?
Also from Joan's is the 6x6 polka dot template and the Ranger black Archival Ink
other inks used are SU More Mustard and Daffodil Delight and Memento Dandelion...
I am not sure if you can read the little sentiment on it, but it says
"a girl walked in the sunshine"

Happy Birthday

For my second post today I have this cute little birthday card
using a stamp set I bought last month called "Angelina and Friends"
As soon as I saw it, I thought it would make a cute card for one of the grandbabies...
I colored in the various spots with Copics and stickled her dress ruffle...
the doily is French Pastry Doily from Cherry Lynn Designs....

I am entering this in the whopping big challenge at Simon Says Stamps Challenge
it is the 4th anniversary of their blog and the challenge is "Happy Birthday"
they have at least 470 entries so far...how cool is that??

Speaking of "cool"....my tag entry HERE won the challenge at City Crafters....
I really appreciate the honor.....
I will be guest designing there in the near future!!
And before I go, I want to "thank" my newest followers for joining me!!

Seeds of Friendship

I have two posts to share with you today.....
First up is the card I made for the challenge over at "Papercraft Star"
Seeds~Garden

I purchased several items from the K&Company Tim Coffey line....
being a gardener myself, this line really appealed to me...
The cute little seed packet has a pull out tag.....

the flower is "3D" and is stacked in layers....
the sentiment "seeds of friendship" is from Flourishes
the dragon fly is part of the Tim Coffey line....
I added the "dew drops" to fill in some blank spots...
remember when dew drops were all the rage??
I still have a fondness for them....:>)
Don't forget to see my second post for today.....

Signs of Spring

I took some time out yesterday to cut each and every new die I
bought at Joan's Gardens on Wednesday.....
I can't even say which is my favorite as I love them all....

you can click on the card to see it in better detail

I made this smaller "round card" for the challenge at Impression Obsession
to make a "Springtime Fun" card.....
I used two of my new IO dies the bunny and the daisy die
I had been wanting that bunny die for quite sometime and
was thrilled to find it (the last one) at Joan's.....

making this a short post today as I have a few other things I want to work on...
see ya!!!!

Spring Canvas

I am finally seeing some signs of Spring...how bout' you?
I needed some of it in my home...
so I created this canvas piece for my mantel...
How it came about is a group of friends got together at Joan's Gardens
for a day of fun and prior to it Dar (from Dar's Crafty Creations) and I got our
heads together and decided we would work on a canvas....
so all six if us made one, each very different and unique to who we are.....
we had so much fun and laughter and good food and we all shopped
while we at Joan's too...oh my, it was like being in die heaven!!!
I brought home something like 13 or more new dies, plus other goodies
the ole' budget was blown to heck that day!!

Anywho, I love how she turned out with all her Spring colors......
the canvas is very "3D" and has alot going on.....
the canvas is appro 11 x 14....

I used paints, sprays, pearls, bubble wrap, dies, flowers, a hero arts bird stamp
rub ons, stamps and a wonderful saying from Crate Paper that says
"stepping back from her canvas, she saw her soul"...I LOVE that!!

I am entering this in the challenge at City Crafters....
it's an anything goes challenge..sort of...
each design team member has a requirement to use and you need only to pick one..
I choose 3 of the four...
Ros use pearls, Kirsty use mist or spray, and Charlene use a circle die.....
and also at Cheery Lynn Designs the challenge is "Back To Nature"
I used one of their wonderful doily dies English Tea Party
and also to Simon Says Stamp and Show...anything goes

I can't wait to make another one, so very different from this one!!

Guest Designer at Our Creative Corner

A Good April 4th to you all!!
Today is my "debut" as a Top Talent designer at "Our Creative Corner"
they have a question and answer post about "yours truly"

and I would LOVE to have you visit me there.....
For my project there I have created another one of the tags
using another Julie Nutting mixed media doll stamp...

I just can't tell you enough how much I love these!!

The background tag is a Julie Nutting design and sold by Prima...
these are BIG tags, and you get 48 on a pad...they are nice and heavy, too
I used a piece of a Cricut cutout I had and a half of a top note die for my background
with a few "pearls" added to the cutout....
my doll was stamped, cut out and I rubbed some Pebbles cream chalk
on her body for some shimmer and added color....
her dress was paper pieced using the yummy Graphic 45 "A Secret Garden" papers....
her hair was colored with Copics..and her headband and shoes were done with Stickles...
the felt flower and lead stick pins are Maya Road
isn't she fun?????

On The Road To Indiana Today

I am on the road to Indiana to spend the day with some other blogging friends
It's only about 30 minutes from my Michigan home....
Not only do I get to enjoy all the good company....
eat some awesome food ( we all brings goodies to eat)...
get to be creative...
but also I get to shop at Joan's......
you will be seeing some new things here in the weeks to come!!

I wanted to do something "CAS" today, so chose a challenge
at CAS-ology and this weeks word challenge is "up"....
I had lots of things I could of used....but had purchased this owl stamp
a few weeks ago at Michael's...
I paired it with a Memory Box die "birch tree"
turned it on its side and made it a branch...
so if you look way high "up" in the trees, you will see two owls perched!!
That's it for now....have a nice day, I know I will!!
